Delhi Metro Line 6 – Violet Line

Opened on October 3, 2010, there are a total of 34 stations on Delhi metro violet line, Line 6 till now, with the length of 47 km (29 mi). New Delhi metro line 6 starts from Kashmere Gate station to Raja Nahar Singh station and connects New Delhi with Ballabhgarh. The specialty of this line is 11 stations are constructed underground like Kashmere Gate, Jama Masjid, Delhi Gate, Mandi House, Jangpura. The rest of them are elevated ones.

Delhi metro line 6 was constructed in 3 phases: the first section was Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar station. On January 14, 2011, it was extended to Badarpur station. Next, the further extension was opened on November 19, 2018, reached to Raja Nahar Singh station. Govind Puri and Nehru Place are the most crowded stations on this line.
