Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur

Where is the Mehrangarh Fort? Located in Rajasthan of Jodhpur, it is the most spectacular and well-preserved castle. As one of the three largest and magnificent castles in India, It was built in 1459 and has a history of more than 500 years. Built on a 125-meter-high (410 feet) cliff which is called “Flying Bird Mountains” on the north side of the old town, it is surrounded by walls.

The fort is especially famous for its architectural style and carvings. It is not merely a magnificent castle, but a wonder and architectural masterpiece. Things to know when visiting the Mehrangarh Fort

1. The entry fee for Mehrangarh Museum costs Rs 600 for adult, and Rs 400 for a student.
2. The opening time is 9:00 – 17:00.
3. It takes about 2 – 3 hours to finish the visit.
4. The rental fee for a camera is Rs 100. At the entrance, tourists can rent an audio guide with several languages, which will help tourists know more about the fort, and the rental fee is included in the entry fee.
