The north of Nepal is in the alpine region with lower temperature and mountain tops covered by snow all year round. The climate in the central valley is generally warm and mild. The weather in southern plains is hot all year round.

Monsoon Season in Nepal
Nepal suffers from monsoon every summer and the rainfall of the year almost concentrates on these months. Heavy rain could cause the landslide, flood and other disasters, which may lead to flight delay and muddy roads, bringing inconvenience for tourists.
Regional Weather of Nepal
North Nepal
  • Major Destinations: Sagarmatha National Park, LangTang National Park, Annapurna Base Camp
  • Weather Review: Most areas of the northern Nepal are snow-capped around the year; the lowest temperature in winter
    can reach -41℃(-105.8℉). The frequent rains in summer may lead to muddy trekking trails. Spring and autumn are the best time to visit here.
