Nepal Weather in March

As Nepal's capital, it is a charming city with the splendid history and culture. People can experience a wonderful cultural adventure here.

Pashupatinath Temple is located on the west bank of the Bagmati River. Originally built in 1696, this tower-style temple is one of the largest Hindu temples in Nepal and one of the four temples dedicated to Shiva in South Asia; it is also listed in the World Heritage Sites. Hindus hold their cremation here, and non-Hindus are forbidden to enter the temple; they can only have a view from the outside. During the cremation ceremony, tourists can take pictures, but please respect the deceased and their families.

Located on a hill about 2km (1.24mi) west of the Kathmandu, Swayambhunath Temple is the oldest Buddhist temple in Nepal and is listed as a World Heritage Site. Because there are many monkeys here, it is also called “monkey temple”. Each direction of the stupa has a pair of big eyes, and there is a big question mark on the nose, which is actually the “one” of the Nepalese figures, symbolizing harmony and unity.

Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

It is one the most famous and classic trekking routes in Nepal. Located in the Annapurna Conservation area, it is suitable for beginners. The route is mature with many guest houses and restaurants; the scenery along the way is excellent with many valleys, snowy mountains, meadows and rivers.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

Trekking through the beautiful hills, the change in vertical height brings the wonderful scenery– forests, pastures, and snowcapped mountains. In addition to feeling the change of four seasons and admiring the waterfalls on both sides of the alpine valley, people can also learn the multi-ethnic culture. Since mid-March, tourists can appreciate the beautiful rhododendron along the ABC trekking route.

Upper Mustang Trek

This route belongs to Mustang district which has been isolated for many years, but it is totally worth exploring. Trekkers can visit many historical ruins, mysterious caves, beautiful landscape like canyon and former king’s palace along the way.
