The pyramid-shaped Dravidian architecture with intricate stone statues is exclusive in the South India, while the foods here focus on rice and seafoods. Taking a houseboat cruise in Alleppey, the Venice of the East, is also a lifetime experience that you can’t miss in your South India tour.

When is the best time to visit south India?
Most of the South India tours and travels are arranged in the winter with a better climate. Although the South India is in tropical monsoon climate, the weather differs among different areas. If you want to enjoy the cruise in Kerala, it is advisable to plan your South India tour package itinerary from December to February, when the climate is less humid and ranges from 22 to 30℃ (72 to 86 ℉). If your South India tour leads you to the beaches, December to February will be the best time.

The weather was comfortable when we visited India in January. The hotel we stayed in Bangalore was really luxury and the Cubbon Park was a good start for our 11-day South India tour!
Itinerary- most of the attractions were visited and the time of resting & sightseeing was reasonably allocated. We were transferred to hotels without any wait at the airports and we had a good rest!
Guide & Driver- all of the guides gave a detailed explanation about their cities and the local attractions. Local driver was always waiting for us patiently and I was very impressed with his driving skill around the chaotic traffic. Everything we expected was offered by them.
Agate Travel- it’s absolutely a dependable and experienced company who will ensure you a perfect trip! And our consultant was competent in coordinating with the guide in time and dealing with our needs and suggestions....More

This 11 days South India tour from Chennai to Kochi was satisfactory. The hotels and meals were well arranged! The local tour guides were quite professional, and their explanations were detailed and fascinating.
I was deeply impressed by the tour to Madurai, which was one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism. There the Meenakshi Temple with countless colorful statues on the exterior wall was quite eye-catching!

We had a good time on our travel of South India to Bengaluru, Mysore, Hassan, Hospet, Hampi, Badami and Goa and we were very happy with all the arrangements. The culture, art and various buildings with a long history here were attractive. Hassan is the best place to visit the 13th-century Chennakeshava temple complex and the Hampi Ruins in Hospet was unmissable. We spent leisure time in Goa near the sea. The trip would be better if the transfer time to different cites would not be so long.

This was the second time I went to India. We visited some places on this South India tour. Arriving at Bangalore, the guide led us to check in the hotel and recommended some famous places for our free exploration. Later, we paid a visit to Lal Bagh, a botanical garden with over 1,800 species of plants. We visited Mysore Palace and immensely enjoyed the beautiful interior decoration. The Goa beach tour was also impressive where we joined some sports and tasted delicious seafood… Thanks for our guide’s enthusiastic service, we had a good vacation. Also thank the Agate, a trustworthy travel agency!...More

An experienced guide is very key to a perfect trip who can save lots of time and share many useful tips. We were so lucky to meet our professional and amiable guides who ensured us a smooth and safe South India tour. But there was a drawback on Day 4. The hotel couldn’t reach the international 4-star level and the beds were small and some facilities were old though it was relatively clean, providing a very good service attitude and delicious breakfast. Overall, this trip was fairly happy!
