Mumbai, along with the sightseeing, is also very famous for the nightlife options that it provides to the tourists. Many might not be familiar, but Mumbai has some of the best options to enjoy the nightlife in India.

1. Partying and Clubbing

The entry in most of the clubs is free, but during the holiday season, pre-booking is required. Some of the famous clubs for partying and drinking include Cavalry the Lounge in Powai, AER in Worli, Escobar in Bandra West, and R Adda in Juhu. Clubs in Mumbai remain open late at night, however, only a few can be found open after 1 AM. Mumbai also hosts a large number of music events and draws performers from all over the world. Many A-list celebrities, singers, rappers, and DJs come to Mumbai for such events.

2. Bademiya in Colaba

This non-veg stall is also known as the heaven of foodies and is a must-visit place for foodies who are non-vegetarians. This small food stall in Colaba is one of the most favorite non-veg serving places in South Mumbai. The food stall serves various varieties of chicken, mutton, and seafood. Main courses such as biriyani are also available here. This restaurant is one of the most crowded places in Mumbai. What makes it more special is that this stall stays open till 3 AM and also provides the online delivery facility. To reach Bademiya, you can take a bus to Colaba Depot or Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Chowk, from these two points, Bademiya is very near. For the landmark, remember that this place is just 150 meters (492.1 feet) from Taj Mahal Tower, Mumbai, the famous Taj Hotel.

3. Ride on the Marine Drive

Marine Drive is a 4km (2.5mi) road in Mumbai that is stretched around the Arabian Sea. It is also called the queen's necklace as the view of Marine Drive at night time looks similar to that of a shining diamond necklace worn by the queen. The wide road of Marine Drive is one of the most beautiful places to ride a vehicle on. The fresh cool breeze and street lights make it for a great romantic ambience, especially for couples.

You can rent two-wheelers to ride. There are several agencies in Mumbai that offer such services. Renting a two-wheeler and enjoying the ride around Arabian Sea is one of the best ways to actually experience Mumbai nightlife.

To reach Marine Drive, the best and the cheapest option is to travel by train. You can reach Marine Lines or you can take a train to Churchgate. Both the train stations are located in opposite directions and one can easily reach Marine Drive from there after a 1km (0.6mi) long walk. Gymkhana and the Government Law College are two major bus stops near Marine Drive.

4. Music Clubs

What better way to explore the nightlife than enjoying music? Mumbai is known for some of the best music clubs, where local talented singers show their singing talent to the crowd gathered. Music clubs are also attended by famous Bollywood singers, where they perform live and unplugged. In fact, many Bollywood celebrities like Lucky Ali and other indie-pop singers gained popularity from these music clubs.

One of the most famous music clubs in Mumbai is Blue Frog, located in Lower Parel that attracts crowds. It has an egg-shaped seating arrangement, the latest LED screens and delicious food and drinks on offer. The Blue Frog club remains open from 6 PM to 1:30 AM from Tuesday to Saturday. And before 9 PM you can enjoy free entry. How great is that!

The Quarter in Girgaon, Bonobo in Bandra West, Kitty Su Mumbai in Andheri East, and Trilogy Super Club in Juhu are some of the best music clubs in Mumbai that also offer food and drinks on the menu.

5. Comedy Clubs

Comedy clubs are another great way to enjoy your Mumbai mightlife. Most of the comedy clubs are only for adults, there are a few comedy clubs here that allow the youths below the age of 18. Canvas Laugh Club in Lower Parel is a great place to end your week on a lighter note. You can also visit Hamster Comedy in Powai where open mic sessions are conducted which you can book in advance for a 4-5 minute performance. That Comedy Club: Bandra in Bandra East is the place where you can sit and enjoy decent stand-up comedy events. Most of the comedy clubs in Mumbai open in the evening and can be enjoyed till 11-12 PM on all days of the week.

6. Stargazing at Juhu Beach

Laying down on the sand or sitting on the benches and looking at the starry night on the beachside is one of the most serene and amazing feelings that you can get during the Mumbai nightlife. Take a stroll and unravel the feeling as the waves kiss your feet. If you feel hungry, there are many stalls that offer everything from Pani Puri and Chuski to Pav Bhaji.

To reach Juhu Beach, you can take a train to Andheri Station and from there you will get BEST buses. This part of the journey is good for those who want to explore the Silver Beach. For anyone coming to Juhu Chowpatty, Santacruz Railway Station is the best place to book a train ticket to or you can board the train at Vile Parle Railway Station. Taxis are available from all the areas of the city to reach Juhu Beach in Mumbai.
