Horton Plains National Park

It is a spectacular plateau located in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, consisting of diverse ecosystems of cloud forests, grassland and so on. You can watch the breathtaking views and many kinds of flora and fauna. It is also a paradise for trekking lovers; it usually takes 3 hours to have a circular trek route. The most famous attractions in the park are the World’s End, a steep escarpment and Baker’s Fall.

Trincomalee

It is a commercial harbor, located in the northeastern of Sri Lanka with the beautiful natural scenery and many wonderful beaches. It is a great place for swimming, diving and snorkeling and has become a popular sites for whale watching in recent years.

Besides Trincomalee, villages of Uppuveil and Nilaveli have many fine beaches. You can enjoy a great holiday just watching the authentic sea view and doing nothing with few tourists. In the Pigeon Island, you can appreciate the beautiful coral reef and observe turtles.

Trincomalee is home to many Hindu temples; you can visit Koneswaram Temple, Gokana Temple or Seruvila Mangala Raja Maha Viharaya. You need to take off shoes before entering the temples.

Batticaloa

It is an east coastal city with beautiful sea views. Batticaloa Lighthouse is a must-go spot where you can overlook the panoramic view of this city at the top of it. You can also head to the beaches of Kallady and Pasikuda with the white sand and few tourists.

Jaffna

It is a charming north coastal city. You can visit the most famous Hindu Temple, Nallur Kovil, which asks male visitors to take off the top showing their respects. The beaches here are less commercialized with blue water and white sand that you should not miss., such as Casuarina Beach.

It consists of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Kandy. If you want to realize the history, religious and architectural culture of Sri Lanka, it is the place you must go. You can visit the Sigiriya Lion Rock, The Temple of Tooth, etc.
