Mirissa

It is a beautiful sandy beach located on the southern Sri Lanka. You can appreciate the authentic sea view with few tourists, go to swimming, diving or surfing. It is also famed for the great whale watching spot; you can rent a boat to go out on the Indian Ocean watching dolphins, blue whales, etc.

Udawalawe National Park

Located on the south part of Sri Lanka, it is a great place to watch wild elephants. It is also a paradise for bird lovers who can observe a variety of species in the park. You can hire a local guide to accompany you.

Bundala National Park

It is one of the most important bird sanctuaries in the world with many lagoons. Bird enthusiasts can observe flamingo and various bird species in here. The best time to visit this national park is May to December and it is also the winter home for many birds.

Negombo

It is a quiet resort in the west coast of Sri Lanka with the beautiful sandy beach as its attractions.  This small town is famous for the centuries-old fishing industry so tourists can taste many seafood. It is called “Little Rome” because of many Catholic buildings in the town, such as St. Mary’s Church.  People can visit Negombo Beach to enjoy a good holiday, go fishing in Negombo Lagoon, visit the Dutch Fort which was built in the colonial periods

Deepavali

It is called the festival of lights, often in October or November, to celebrate the victory of light over darkness. People who travel to Sri Lanka in this month can feel this passionate Hindu festival.
