Mongolia Weather in March

Honestly speaking, it is not recommended to go to Mongolia in March because it is cold and winds and dust storms often occur during this period.

However, skiing is available in March. Sky Resort, located near to Ulaanbaatar, has also become a destination for junior and intermediate skiers around the world in recent years. There are a total of 9 ski trails with different difficulties, of which the longest Zaisan ski trail is 1.07 kilometers. Senior skiers can choose Khurkhereet, the most challenging downhill slide. The slide way is equipped with 2 sets of cranes, 2 sets of cables and 3 sets of transport belts, which is very convenient.

Gandan Temple in Ulaanbaatar is also a good place. It is the largest temple in Mongolia and the temple with the largest number of tourists in Mongolia. Gandan Temple is a temple of Tibetan Buddhism and its architecture is very beautiful. The bronze Buddha statue in the temple is the largest Buddha statue in the world, which attracts people all over the world. The Buddha is 26 meters high and weighs 20 tons. It is plated with gold and inlaid with a large number of precious stones.  It contains 27 herbs, 334 Buddhist scriptures and 2 million prayers. It is Mongolia's national treasure.
