The bad weather makes it not a good month to travel to in February. Because of the low temperature and severe weather, most of the local ger camps are closed. Tourists also cannot experience horse riding on grassland. But they can enjoying the snow, skate, ski and experience dog sledding there.

If there is still some people want to go to Mongolia during this period, Ulan Bator can go for a visit. Sükhbaatar square, located in the center of Ulaanbaatar, has a magnificent statue of Chinggis Khaan. In the center of the square, the statue of Mongolian independent leader Sükhbaatar on horseback is standing in there for many years. The National Museum of Mongolian History is the highlight of Ulaanbaatar. There are three layers in the Museum. The first layer shows Mongolian Stone Age ruins and rock carvings; the second layer contains a large number of ethnic costumes; and the third layer exhibits representative collections of Mongolian nomadic culture. But it should be noted that the museum is opened from Tuesday to Saturday.
