Mongolia Weather in July

Orkhon River is located in the north-central part of Mongolia and it is the longest river in Mongolia. It is one of the best place to go to in July. Orkhon Valley's name comes from Orkhon River. In 2004, Orkhon Valley was listed as a world heritage by UNESCO. It is also Mongolia's first world cultural heritage. The valley is dotted with pastures and the architectural sites are engraved with the history of the Mongols who have settled here since the 6th century A.D. There are several important historical sites along the river, such as KarAkorum, Nine-surname Kehan Stele, Mongolia Pagoda, Doytyn Balgas, Hudgiyn Denj and so on.

After waiting for such a long time, it is one of the best time to go to the grassland. Tourist can live in the yurt at night. And for thousands of years, horseback riding has been a way of transportation for Mongolians. Riding a horse makes people closer to nature and it is one of the excellent ways for travelers to explore this country.

There is the most important festival in July, Naadam. In order to celebrate the harvest, the Naadam is held in July and August each year when livestock are the fattest. "Naadam" means entertainment or games in Mongolian. The content mainly includes wrestling, horse racing, archery, horse racing, Mongolian chess and other traditional events, and in some other places there are sports such as track and field, tug of war and basketball.
