Keiyo Line (JE)

The Keiyo Line is a JR line that departs from Tokyo Station and runs along the coast of Tokyo Bay toward Chiba Prefecture, providing direct service from Tokyo Station to the Tokyo Disney Resort. Operating Hours & Train Frequencies

The trains of the Keiyo Line operate from approximately 5:00 to midnight. During the daytime, trains run relatively frequently, typically every 5 to 15 minutes. However, during the periods after 23:00 and before 6:00, the intervals between trains are longer, at about 20 to 30 minutes.

Train Types

1. Local Trains: They stop at every station on the line. With this type of train, the trip from Tokyo Station to Maihama Station, where Disneyland is located, takes about 15 minutes.
2. Rapid Trains: They stop only at Tokyo, Hatchobori, Shin-Kiba, Maihama, Shin-Urayasu, Minami-Funabashi, Kaihimmakuhari, Kemigawahama, Inagekaigan, Chibaminato, and Soga. The trip from Tokyo Station to Maihama Station takes about 13 minutes.

Tips

1. If you want to take a train of a specific type, that is, a local or rapid one, you can check the departure time for this type of train on the electronic display screens inside the station and go to the corresponding platform to wait according to that time.
2. Please note that if you are heading to Tokyo Disney Resort from Tokyo Station, Hatchobori Station, Etchujima Station, Shiomi Station, Shin-Kiba Station, Kasai-Rinkai-Koen Station, Shin-Urayasu Station, or Ichikawa-Shiohama Station, you will find that Musashino Line trains (JM) with orange stripes on the cars also stop at the same platforms – they can also take you to Maihama Station, the station near Disney Resort.
3. The platform for the Keiyo Line at Tokyo Station is located deep underground, and transferring to other JR lines, such as the Yamanote Line and Tokaido Line, may require a 15- to 20-minute walk, so please allow plenty of time.
4. A large portion of the Keiyo Line runs on an elevated track along the coast, making it highly susceptible to delays and service cancellations caused by strong winds, heavy rain, and typhoons. Therefore, remember to check JR East’s service updates in advance if you plan to travel on this line on days with relatively bad weather conditions.
