Recommended Clothes to Wear in October

As the weather gets colder, clothes need to be thicker too. Considering the big temperature difference in a day, one more piece of thick overcoat should be prepared for mornings and evenings to prevent getting sick. In windy days, it is best to choose a windproof coat.

Girls

Tops: To keep the cold wind out, inner clothes should be closefitting. Girls can wear thin sweater pair with a thermal shirt to keep warm. Outside, a trench coat can withstand the strong wind and it’s also warm and fashionable
Bottoms & shoes: Jeans and sweatpants are perfect to adapt to the weather. If you are afraid of the coldness, you can add one more pair of long johns inside. A pair of boots can keep you warm too.

Boys

Tops: Boys can wear a soft wool sweater inside with a jacket or a thick overcoat as a match. When the weather gets colder in late month, add another piece of long-sleeve shirt inside.
Bottoms & shoes: A pair of sweatpants and hiking shoes are enough for boys to get through November. But in late month, a pair of long johns is also needed.

Accessories: In colder mornings and evenings, it is advisable for both girls and boys to wear a scarf to warm your neck. Some pairs of cotton or woolen socks should also be packed in your luggage.
Special Recommendation: November is great to wear kimono, Japanese traditional clothing. Taking a photo with red leaves while wearing the kimono can absolutely be the most unforgettable part of your journey.

Top Places to Visit in Osaka in November

Travel Recommendation:

1. Osaka Castle Park

In Osaka Castle Park, the red maple leaves can be seen everywhere in November. The best site is near the Osaka Castle, where you can appreciate the red leaves with the marvelous tower as the background. More than the red leaves, the golden ginkgo leaves are also one of the most attractive sceneries in Osaka Castle Park. In front of the Castle Tower, there’s a large ginkgo tree which has a history about 300 years. Besides, the Ginkgo Road in the east of the park is planted with ginkgo trees that stretch for about 1km (0.6mile). In Osaka Castle Park, visitors can personally enjoy the charm of color changing in autumn.

2. Expo'70 Commemorative Park

The Expo'70 Commemorative Park is super popular not only because of its plentiful facilities, but also because of the beautiful scenery of red leaves in autumn. Along the Nishioji Street in the Natural and Cultural Gardens and near the waterfall in Japanese Garden, plenty of red maple trees are planted and they often attract large numbers of visitors. What’s more, there are many grasslands in the Expo'70 Commemorative Park. It must be interesting to enjoy the picnic on the grassland surrounded by colorful trees.

Tips: After enjoying the picnic, please don’t forget to take away your rubbish and leave a clean scenery.

3. Ushitakisan Daiitoku-ji Temple

If you travel in Osaka in late November, the red leaves in Ushitakisan Daiitoku-ji Temple are highly recommended. The Ushitakisan Daiitoku-ji Temple is the most popular place to appreciate the red leaves in the view of Osaka locals. Visitors can appreciate not only the ancient temple, but also the red leaves in the valley and beautiful scenery of waterfall. Compared with the two parks above, the Ushitakisan Daiitoku-ji Temple is quieter and it has the traditional features of Osaka. Visitors who are interested in Japanese traditional architecture can’t miss this scenic spot.
