Hyderabad weather has duel weather conditions like tropical and steppe climate. This capital city of Telangana has decent weather throughout the year with slightly warm climate and a minor drop in Hyderabad temperature during the winter season. Hyderabad does not receive much rainfall due to weak movement monsoon from the southwestern region. Hyderabad is divided into three seasons: winter, summer and monsoon season.

In summer, Hyderabad weather is sweltering and can rise up to 45℃ (113℉) in May, thus making it the hottest month in Hyderabad. December is the coldest month, with an average temperature of 20℃ (68℉). Monsoon season starts by the end of July and remains till early October with an average of 810mm of rain. Winter (November to next February)

Hyderabad weather remains pleasant and cold from November till February where temperature ranging between 14 to 22℃ (15.20 to 71.60℉) and perfect climatic conditions to explore this beautiful and royal city. Since it is not that cold unlike most of the northern parts of India, light cotton shirts, denim, Jackets (only for night travel), shrugs are advisable clothes to wear in Hyderabad. Charminar (4.4/5 star), Ramoji Film City (4.4/5 star), Golconda Fort (4.4/5 star), Hussain Sagar Lake (4.3/5 star), Birla Mandir (4.6/5 star) are must-visit places.

Tip: Distance between the city and the international airport is 24 km (14 miles). This IT hub consists of traffic in peak hours from 9 am till 10 pm (Monday to Friday). Plan your travel during your arrival and departure accordingly.


Summer (March to June)
Temperature reaches the peak level in May and June. In the day, you can visit some indoor attractions and go outside in the early morning and at night. Sunscreen is one of the most important necessities for you to travel in summer, and you should better take other sun-protective products like sunhat, parasol and so on. In general, it is not very recommended to travel there during this period.Gujarat weather is too hot and dry in summer. On an average, Gujarat temperature at daytime is 41℃ (105℉) in summer and 29℃ (85℉) at night. This arid weather in Gujarat creates difficulties for tourist to travel around the state. Still, as the state has full of climate diversity, you can visit Saputara, Bhavnagar, Patan, Marine National Park, Palitana, Diu, Thol Lake bird sanctuary in summer. In summer, you must keep your sunglasses and plenty of napkins with you. Also, while travelling, avoid wearing full sleeves and skin-tight clothes. Cotton made clothes, shorts, spaghetti, knee-length cotton dresses, loose shirts are the best clothes to wear in Gujarat during summer. Travel tip for summer is that always carry water cooler bag with you.Weather in Hyderabad during summers are extremely hot with temperature inclining up to 45 (113). Some of the perks in travelling to this city during summer is the cheaper flight tickets, traffic friendly roads during night and very minimum tourists in heritage sites. Tip: Keep yourself hydrated and carry plenty of water, though one can find regular stalls selling sugarcane juice. Sunstroke is the most common illness during the summer.


Monsoon Season (July to October)
Monsoon in Hyderabad weather has very less rainfall. One can expect an average 810 mm rainfall during this season with temperature ranging between 24 to 27 (75.2 to 80.6). One can expect rain for an hour or two in a day with more than 5 hours of bright sunlight. Light cotton clothes for men and women are best to pair and accessories like sunglasses, hats and umbrellas to carry during this season.

Ananthagiri Hills (4/5 star), Golconda fort (4.4/5 star), Pocharam Dam (4/5 star) and Sanctuary are the most scenic place one must visit during monsoon.

Tip: Though less rainy than other places, it is still advisable to prepare an umbrella. What’s more, using local transport in Hyderabad can be reasonably expensive as auto rikshaws slightly overcharge.
