Winter is known as the Gujarat travel season. But peak season of the state starts from October to March. During this time, the temperature lies between 31 - 13℃ (87 - 55℉), which makes the atmosphere pleasant and relaxed. Along with the temperature, festival vibes in Gujarat makes this season more cheerful. You can experience the world-famous international kite festival and Runn Utsav during this peak season. Also, festivals such as Modhera Dance Festival, Bhavnath Mahadev fair, Chitra Vichitra mela are tourists’ eminent attractions conducted during this period. Therefore, it is considered as the best time to visit Gujarat. For hill stations in Gujarat, July to October is the peak season for tourists to experience the lush greenery of beautiful hills.

Slack season of Gujarat is from April to September. April and May are the hottest months of Gujarat that riches the highest temperature up to 32 - 41℃ (90 - 105℉). Because of the dry and arid atmosphere, tourists avoid visiting Gujarat during this time. In Gujarat, monsoon starts from June and the peak of the season is August and September. As Gujarat has the largest coastline area in India, the atmosphere during monsoon is not favorable for tourism. Also, flood affects few regions of Gujarat every year. So, it is not considered as the best time to visit Gujarat. But in this slack season, accommodation and transport charges are meagre as compare to peak season. So, it is considered as an economically affordable season to visit Gujarat.

According to Gujarat’s weather, the summer season is better to avoid. As the state has a dry and arid atmosphere during summer, it is not the best time to travel to Gujarat. During March to May, daytime is very much uncomfortable due to humidity as well as nights are not so better. Also, a few parts of Gujarat have a threat of flood during monsoon. So, avoid visiting Gujarat at the peak of the rainy season. But if you want to visit hill stations in Gujarat, it does not have any seasonal bound.
