Arrival Note: On your arrival at the Guwahati Airport, our representative will welcome you and escort you to take our well-prepared private car for a road trip to Kaziranga. Upon arrival, we’ll check in the hotel, and then you can enjoy the rest of the day on your own. Have a good rest and get ready for the north east India tour starting tomorrow.

★ Travel Different: Today, we will start with a morning safari in the Kaziranga National Park. We have arranged an exciting jeep safari for you to soak in the natural beauty and feel the vitality of the wildlife. This 430-square-kilometer national park is an unspoiled habitat with little human disturbance and is home to two-thirds of the world's population of one-horned rhinoceros, a large number of tigers and many other mammals and birds. The fresh air and abundant animals will give you an unforgettable experience.

★ Special Arrangement: In the evening, we will take a leisurely walk around a tea garden. The fragrance of tea leaves and the tranquil atmosphere will make you have a sweet dream at night.

In the morning, you will continue to enjoy a jeep safari in the Kaziranga National Park before moving on to the next city. After the early morning safari, the driver will take you back to the hotel for check-out, and then we will start a long drive to Shillong, a fascinating hill station where Khasi people live. Late in the afternoon, we’ll arrive at the hotel in Shillong. Finishing the check-in procedures, you can have a good rest and recover from the fatigue of the long ride.

Sightseeing Activities: After breakfast, we will set off to Cherrapunjee, a humid mountainous area with frequent rain all year round. On the way, we will stop to admire the multi-storied Elephant Falls, a natural masterpiece with clean water and lush bushes. Arriving in Cherrapunjee, we will head to the Mawsmai Cave, a well-preserved natural cave full of amazing stalagmites and stalactites in various shapes. Next, we will continue to visit more waterfalls, including the Seven Sisters Fall, comprising seven parts from the Khasi Hills, and the Nohkalikai Falls, plunging 1,100 feet down a cliff like a towering white jade pillar standing between the precipices.

In the afternoon, our guide will lead you to visit the Thankarang Park, a tranquil and clean park with lush trees. Finally, we will move on to the last attraction of the day – the Koh Ramhah, where you will see a large stone pillar in a strange shape, carved with many local legends. In the evening, our guide and the driver will escort you back to the hotel in Shillong.

Private car transfer to Guwahati (103 km; 3 hours): After breakfast, get on our private car for a transfer to Guwahati. On arrival, our guide will help you check into the hotel.

Afternoon Sightseeing: After the lunch break, the guide will take you to visit the Kamakhya Temple on a hilltop. This is a Hindu temples complex dating back more than 1,300 years. In the evening, we will take you to enjoy the fascinating sunset at the beautiful Brahmaputra River by a cruise which needs to be paid on site. Finally, take our private car to return to the hotel for the night.
