Yokohama Landmark Tower

Note:The Sky Garden of Yokohama Landmark Tower was closed for maintenance at the end of December 2025 and is expected to reopen to the public in 2028. Nowadays, visitors can choose other places near the Landmark Tower to overlook the view of Yokohama, like the 46th floor of Yokohama OMO5, Osanbashi Yokohama International Passenger Terminal and on the Cosmo Clock 21 ferris wheel.

Yokohama Landmark Tower is the iconic building of Minato Mirai 21, a modern coastal metropolitan area. This 70-storey skyscraper, standing at 296 meters (971 feet) tall, was once the tallest building in Japan and is currently the third tallest, following Mori JP Tower in Tokyo and Abeno Harukas in Osaka. The top of the Landmark Tower gradually narrows, resembling a sail post, reminding people of Yokohama’s history as a port city. The Sky Garden observation deck on the 69th floor offers a breathtaking view of the entire Yokohama, while the lowers floors are shopping and dining areas. Whether you want to overlook the panoramic view of the city, go shopping or enjoy delicious food, the Landmark Tower can meet your needs.

Landmark Plaza – Shopping and Dining on 1-5F

The Landmark Tower not only offers a panoramic view of Yokohama but is also a place for shopping and dining. There are many boutique jewelry stores such as Tiffany and Mikimoto, chain clothing stores and dessert shops in Landmark Plaza occupying 1-5F of the building.

The popular ramen restaurant Afuri has a branch on the first floor of Yokohama Landmark Tower. The light salt ramen has a fresh yuzu aroma. The chewy ramen pairs well with a soft-boiled egg, char siu or chicken slices, and the taste is excellent. On the third floor, there is a famous Japanese dessert shop called Harbs. Unlike in Tokyo, you can enjoy delicious desserts directly without having to wait in long queues here. It is recommended to try fruit layer cake, which is filled with fruits and cream. The sweetness of each fruit is just right, and the flavor is rich and not greasy at all. It is a great choice to pair with a cup of black tea.

However, the overall number of brands is not large, and it leans more towards business. If you want more diverse shopping options, you can go to Markis, Queen’s Square and World Porters near the Landmark Tower, where more shopping experiences can be provided.
