Can I take bus from Sai Gong to Mui Né directly? How long will it take?

Yes, there are direct buses available from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne which will take about 6 hours. While the train journey would be more comfortable than getting the bus.

Can I take flight to get Mui Ne?

No. Although Phan Thiet is about 200km away from Ho Chi Minh City, it takes anywhere 4-6 hours to get there. And being half way between Ho Chi Minh City and Nha Trang, there is no airport serving Mui Ne. The easiest way to get to Mui Ne is to take train from Saigon to Phan Thiet, then get a taxi to your hotel.

Is it called Sai Gong or Ho Chi Minh City? 

Before Civil War in Vietnam, this city was called Sai Gong. In 1975, North Vietnam government captured Sai Gong and changed the name to Ho Chi Minh City for celebration. Since this city was deeply influenced by Western countries, the name “Sai Gong” presented a kind of romanticism and prosperity. Until now, most of locals and travelers still call it “Sai Gong”.
