Thimphu is the capital city of Bhutan and you should go there to visit the National Memorial Chorten, make your own stamps at the post office, see the special Takin at Thimphu Zoo and admire the landscape of Thimphu Valley at the Buddha View. Druk wangyal chortens is also a famous spot of Bhutan, which is consist of 108 pagodas and located on the Dochu La Pass, in which you can enjoy the miracle scene of Himalaya’s snow-covered peak. Wangdue Phodrang Dzong is 21 kilometers away from Punakha and one of the most ancient temples in Bhutan. Chimi Lhakhang is built to remember the monk Lama Drukpa Kunley and famous as a sacred temple for Praying for Children. Paro is also an important city of Bhutan, you can visit one of the most beautiful Dzongs in Bhutan and climb the Taktshang Goemba, which lies on the 9000-meter-high cliff. It’s very steep, you can walk two hours to visit the temple, or rent a horse, but it’s a little dangerous. Besides, it’s not allowed to take photos in the temple. Drukgyel Dzong is 14 kilometers away from Paro. If you travel there in September, you can see the ruins are surrounded by golden terraced fields and the scenery of Qomolangma.
