Langtang Valley Trek

After breakfast, we will set off to visit Pashupatinath, the largest Hindu temple in Nepal, which can date back to the Lichhavi period (c. 450 - c. 750 ce). Then visit Boudhanath & Swayambhunath. Finally, we will pay a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square which is a typical representative of local medieval architecture. Afterwards, we will send you back to the hotel, and the trekking leader will briefly introduce you the trekking itinerary.

Today we need to get up early. Take the bus to Syabrubeshi (1,460 meters) after breakfast. It takes about 7-8 hours. We will drive along the banks of the scenic Trishuli River, with stunning views of valleys, meadows, rivers and mountains. Check in a local guesthouse or teahouse upon arrival.

Let's kick off our trekking today! First, we will go uphill for about 2 hours and then climb up for an hour to a bamboo village to have lunch. The coming path will become flat and we can see a variety of birds in the area and beehives hanging on the cliffs. Then we need to climb the steep mountain road again and finally reach Lama Hotel (2,480 meters). Stay overnight nearby.

We will hike pleasantly for three hours through the rhododendron forest and pine forest to Ghoda Tabela. After lunch here, you may spend some time admiring the dense forest and herbs. Then we will trek along the scenic path for about 3-4 hours to arrive at today's destination Langtang Valley (3,540 meters) and spend the night.

Today is more like a leisure day. We will take a leisurely walk for 2-3 hours and visit Kyanjing Gompa at an altitude of 3,817 meters, where we can enjoy the beauty of Mt. Ganchhenpo and Mt. Langtang Lirung. Cheese factories, monasteries and local traditional houses are the main attractions of this short trip.

We will be immersed in the natural beauty and tranquility of the Gompa area today while climbing to Tsergo ri, 5150 meters above sea level. There, we will visit Langtang glacier and the beautiful yak pasture Langshisha Kharka. Later we will follow the same route back to Kyanjin Gompa.

Today's hike is easy and enjoyable as the trail from Kyanjin Gompa to Rimche is picturesque and downward. It is also the penultimate day of Langtang trek.

It takes about 4-5 hours to hike through the bamboo forest and rhododendron forest and finally return to Syabru Bensi. Enjoy the last supper with the guide and porter.

After breakfast, we will take the bus back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer you to the hotel. In the evening, you may buy some souvenirs at Thamel to bring home.
