Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, Airport pick-up
Welcome to the beautiful Himalayan country Nepal. Our friendly airport representative will pick you up at the Tribhuwan International Airport and transfer you to the hotel. There are no arrangements today. After check-in, you can rest in the hotel or explore the labyrinthine streets of Kathmandu on your own.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will start a sightseeing tour of the Kathmandu Valley. The Kathmandu Valley is famous for its art, architecture and culture. There are several temples and palaces which are listed as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. We will visit Durbar Square, famous for ancient art and architecture, and shrines such as Pashupatinath, Boudhanath & Swayambhunath which showcase the unique fusion of Hinduism and Buddhism in the valley. After visiting, the guide will lead you back to the hotel. Then, the trekking leader will briefly discuss the following Mardi Himal Trek itinerary with everyone. If you have any questions, just consult the trekking leader freely.

Day 3: Take tourist bus to Pokhara
Today we will get up early and take the tourist bus to Pokhara, taking about 6-7 hours. On the way, you can admire the beautiful hills and rural scenery. Check in the hotel after arriving. Pokhara is a beautiful city, famous for its stunning mountain views and peaceful lakes. Tonight, have a good rest to store energy for the future long Mardi Himal Trek.

Day 4: Drive to Phedi and trek to Pothana
We still need to get up early today. First, we will drive for one hour to Phedi to start our trek. There we will begin climbing up the stairs and pass through rhododendron and pine forests to Dhampus. At this famous Gurung village, you can enjoy the magnificent views of Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. After, continue to climb up till we arrive at today's destination, Pothana (1,990 meters). Surrounded by forests, it is also a good place to see amazing mountain views. We will get a TIMS and ACAP trekking permit at the check point here.

Day 5: Trek from Pothana to Forest Camp
After a big breakfast, we will start today's Mardi Himal trek. We will climb up the steep mountain road in the dense forest. The beautiful scenery of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges along the way is the highlight. The forest is home to many rare wild animals and birds. We will arrive at the Forest Camp (2,900 meters) five hours later and stay overnight.

Day 6: Trek from Forest Camp to High Camp
The path from the Forest Camp to High Camp (3,520 meters) is steep uphill, passing through rhododendron and Juniper forests. After climbing over a small hill, the road will become relatively flat. Keep climbing up to the top of the mountain, the magnificent Annapurna range and Mount Macchapuchre scenery is waiting for us.

Day 7: Day trip to Upper View Point
Today we will get up before sunrise and set off to enjoy the spectacular sunrise view of Annapurna range from High Camp. Then return to the accommodation site to have breakfast. After breakfast, we will start climbing towards Mardi Himal Upper View Point at 4,380 meters above sea level. Today's Mardi Himal hike is challenging because we have to walk along the narrow rocky path. Although it is hard, you will feel that all the efforts are worth it when you catch the astonishing mountain scenery. In the end, we will return to High Camp and stay overnight.

Day 8: Trek to Kalimati Village
We will first retrace our way back to Forest Camp. From here we will walk through the forest to Mardi Khola. Then take a pleasant walk along the river and through the forest to the hospitable Kalimati village, where we will spend the night.

Day 9: Trek down to Lumre then drive to Pokhara
After breakfast, we will start to go downhill to Lumre, the ending point of our Mardi Himal Trek, passing through the beautiful Tamang and Gurung villages on the way. Then we will transfer from Lumre to Pokhara, taking about an hour by car. Stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 10: Take bus back to Kathmandu
Before we take the tourist bus back to Kathmandu, we will tour the beautiful Pokhara city. On the way back, take the chance to admire the quiet villages, flowing creeks and green hills.
