Day 1: Airport pick-up in Accra
Welcome to Ghana! When you arrive at Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, our guide will wait for you at the airport exit on time and transfer you to the hotel. During the rest time of the day, replenish your energy and be prepared to enjoy a best Ghana tour!

Day 2: Accra day trip
Today we will visit Accra all day. Attractions to visit include Independence Square also known as Black Star Square, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, and National Culture Centre. Mr. Kwame Nkrumah was the first President of Ghana and led the people of Ghana to achieve independence. National Culture Centre is the largest outdoor art and craft market in West Africa. Many artisans sell their works here. You can choose some as souvenirs. Afterwards, head to James Town, where colonial buildings are scattered. The most famous one is the lighthouse built by the British in 1875 to navigate the trading ships passing by. Finally, take a walk in Brazil House to learn about the stories of the seven Afro-Brazilians families who returned to Ghana in 1836.

Day 3: Transfer to Kumasi
In the morning, we will drive to Kumasi, the capital of Ashanti Kingdom. The first visit stop there is the Manhiya Palace, which was the official residence of Ashanti Kings until 1974. Now it has become a museum with precious items related to Ashanti Kingdom. You will also see the symbol of Ashanti unity: Okomfo Sword. Okomfo Anokye was a tribal priest born in Ghana in the late 17th century. According to legend, he summoned the "Golden Stool" from the heaven and pierced his sword into the ground to mark the location of the kingdom's capital Kumasi, thus uniting the Akan tribe. So the Ghanaians respect this place as a holy place. More than 300 years have passed, and the sword remains in the same position on the ground. Although many people try to move the sword, as Okomfo Anokye claimed, the sword cannot be moved.

Day 4: Kumasi craft village tour
Today we are going to visit 3 handicraft villages in Ashanti. The first is the woodcarving village of Ahwiaa, which is famous for its handmade wooden high stools, walking sticks and fertility dolls. Then the village of Ntonso, where artisans makes Adinkra textiles by hand. You will learn how to make black dye from tree bark, make Adinkra sash and take it home. Next we will go to the village of Bonwire which produces famous Kente cloth. It is hand-finished on a loom that has been passed down from generation to generation. You may pick some as gifts for family and friends. Finally, visit Kumasi Central Market, also known as Kejetia Market. There are about 45,000 stalls and shops selling goods such as shoes, jewelry, skin care products and Kente cloth.

Day 5: Drive to Cape Coast
Drive to the Cape Coast and stopover to visit the gold mining towns of Obuasi and Assin Manso on the way. 2 slaves from the United States and Jamaica were buried in these two towns. Today, we will also visit the "Slave River" in which slaves were cleaned before they were imprisoned in a slave castle and transported to the Americas and the Caribbean. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Elmina, the last stop of today's best Ghana tour. There are colorful fishing canoes waiting to go to the sea. For photographers, this is a great opportunity to take some best photos.

Day 6: Slave Castle tour
After breakfast, we will first visit Elmina Castle, built by the Portuguese in 1482. It was a critical locality where European colonists imprisoned slaves and carried out the slave trade. The establishment of Elmina Castle marked the beginning of the colonial history of Ghana. Now it has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Visit Cape Coast Castle and Castle Museum at noon. Cape Coast Castle is one of the notorious slave trade points with about 15 dungeons. At the southernmost dungeon, there is a door leading to the coast marked "Door of No Return". It was through this door that slave traders transported black slaves to America by ship.

Day 7: Visit Kakum National Park
Today we will start with a visit to one of the most famous parks in the country: Kakum National Park. This park, established in 1960, is covered by tropical rainforest, flora and fauna. It is also home to more than 300 kinds of birds and 500 kinds of butterflies. There is a canopy walk about 30m above the ground, which is very popular among tourists. It consists of 7 suspension bridges and the total length is about 330m. After the tour, drive back to Accra. We will pass the village of Abandze on the way that is the hometown of the famous American jazz musician Louis Armstrong.
