Best Azerbaijan Tour

Baku, a port city, is the capital of Azerbaijan, and the driver guide will show you around the city today. At first, we will visit two distinctive buildings - Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center and Baku Conference Hall. Then we will go to the Highland Park, and climb up to the viewing platform on the top, where you can have a full view of both the old and new towns of Baku. After that, we will take photos at the Flame Towers, a landmark at local. We will also admire the colorful carpets at Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, roam around Little Venice and Baku Boulevard nearby. After lunch, we will continue our tour at Nizami Street, the largest shopping street in Baku. Finally, take a stroll in the old town - the historical center of Baku, to appreciate the beautiful old architecture.

After breakfast, we will drive to Gobustan 37km (23mi) away, taking about 45 minutes. We are to visit the Mud Volcano here, which is geographically unique as the mud gushes out of the ground under enormous pressure. Then we will visit Gobustan Museum, to learn the history and significance of local rock art, and witness the rock paintings left over from the ancient ages at Gobustan Rocks. After the visits to Bibi-Heybat Mosque and world's first industrially drilled oil well, it's time for lunch. The next place Atashgah is 85km (53mi) away, taking about 80 min to reach by car. There, we will go to Atashgah Zoroastrian Fire Temple. Next, transfer to Yanardag 22km (14mi) or 30 minutes' drive away. In Yanardag, visit the fire on Burning Mountain which has never gone out. At the end of the day, drive back to the hotel in Baku downtown.

Today, we will drive to Gabala 220km away. On the way, we are going to visit Diribaba Mausoleum and Juma Mosque in Shamakhi. After the total 3h' s drive, we will arrive in Gabala and go to Nohurgol Lake, to see the delightful scenery. In the afternoon, we will enjoy the Tufandag ski resort. We will take the cable car to the mountain top to enjoy the landscapes. Later, we will head to Sheki, 88km (55mi) away and spending around 80 min to reach.

Tips: Please kindly notice today's tour will take around 11-12 hours. You are suggested to have a good rest the day before to prepare for it.

Today's sightseeing will begin with the Palace of Sheki Khan, which is famous for the colored glass. After, learn the making process of the colored glass at Shebeke master house, and go to Upper and Lower Caravanserai, the post on Silk Road in ancient. Then, we will taste local snacks and admire the various handicrafts on the Street of Sweets and Potteries. We'll also go to Old Albanian church in the village of Kish. There will be some free time for you after lunch, so you can take a walk around the village and glut your eyes with the fascinating natural beauty.
