Day 1: Algiers Airport Pick-up; City Sightseeing with Martyrs’ Square & Grande Poste
Welcome to Algiers! Upon your arrival at Algiers Airport, your private guide and driver will meet you and escort you to your hotel. Later, we will organize an enjoyable city tour of Algiers based on your remaining time today.

Let’s start at Martyrs’ Square, formerly the French Government Square, which witnessed several demonstrations during the Algerian War of Independence (1954-1962). It now serves as a memorial to those who sacrificed in the war. These tumultuous years are behind us, and you can now sit on a bench to relax and enjoy the laid-back vibe of Algiers while admiring the French colonial architecture that has become a defining feature of the city.

Next, we’ll explore the century-old Grande Poste, admiring its iconic horseshoe arches and detailed Neo-Moorish plaster carvings. Then, walk along the Esplanade, where the broad boulevard, wrought iron balconies, and elegant arcades create a vibe reminiscent of a southern Parisian city. After enjoying views of the Bay of Algiers and the Mediterranean Sea, your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel.

 Why Choose Us
Although Algeria boasts rich tourism resources, it has not prioritized tourism development. As a result, infrastructure and services may be insufficient for independent travelers, particularly in the Sahara Desert region. Opting for our private guided tours can simplify your trip by expediting your visa applications with detailed schedules, eliminating concerns about transportation and accommodation, and providing a deeper immersion in local culture and history.
