With warmest greetings we welcome you come to Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. During this short one week Sapa tour, we will show you around for the most classical and characteristic sites in and around Hanoi. And let's begin our adventure to discover this historic city in depth. When you arrive, our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to check in at the hotel.

For the rest of the day, we will have a short city tour to the city central area, Hoan Kiem Lake, and visit the nearby attractions like the Opera House, the Old Quarter, and Ngoc Son Temple. This evening, you will be served with a sumptuous Vietnamese dinner at a fancy local restaurant.

After breakfast, continue our Sapa tour from Hanoi to Ba Dihn Square area. Here you will visit Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and his stilt house. Ho Chi Minh, the father of Vietnam's independence, was a great leader to the nation. His body is kept in the Mausoleum and receiving respect from visitors from all over the world. From the stilt house where he lived, you will see what a simple person he was.

Then we walk to visit the nearby One Pillar Pagoda and the Presidential Palace. The other notable places we will also see for the rest of the day are the Temple of Literature, Quan Thanh Temple, the Tran Quoc Pagoda, the West Lake and the History Museum or the Ethnology Museum whichever you like. At last, enjoy the interesting traditional Water Puppet Show before we transfer you to the railway station for an overnight train to your next destination - Lao Cai.

The train from Hanoi arrives at Lao Cai station in the early morning. Meet by your guide and we will then take you to Sapa, a welcome summer resort full of exotic atmosphere. After driving for less than one hour, you will arrive at your hotel in the town. Have breakfast at the hotel firstly and then take a short rest. Later, our guide will take you to enjoy the amazing view by a preliminary trekking through the terraced rice fields, among which, you will also visit two hill villages, Cat Cat and Sin Chai. The rest of the time will be left free for you to explore the town on your own.

The distinctive Sapa is absolutely a place deserving more of your exploration. Today you will have an ample full day to discover the area in depth. We will arrange you take a hiking tour through picturesque valleys and villages. Based on your physical conditions, you may either choose to have a short trek for 3km, or a medium trek about 6km, or if you like, an even longer trek about 12 km to immerse yourself in the beautiful natural scenery.

Besides, by walking from one hill tribe village to another, you will get a very close contact to the local H'mong, Dzao and Dzay minority people’s life. This evening, we transfer you to Lao Cai where you will take an overnight train back to Hanoi.

The train arrives at Hanoi in the morning. After picking you up at the railway station, we will take you to have breakfast at a nearby hotel first. Then drive for about 3.5 to 4 hours, you will reach Halong Bay at around noon time. As one of the seven natural wonders in the world, Halong Bay is a must-see destination for a Sapa tour in Hanoi. You will take a cruise tour with an overnight stay on the ship to fully explore the splendid Halong Bay.

After you board the boat and check in the cabin, a delicious Vietnamese lunch will be prepared for all the passengers. This afternoon, enjoy your time while cruising around many beautiful islands. Later stop and visit a surprising cave which is one of the most spectacular and largest grottoes of Halong Bay. Activities on the boat are also diverse, join in the one you are interested in and make your trip enjoyable and special.

In the early morning, participate in Tai Chi class on the top deck if you like. There are tea, coffee and pastries served in the dining room from 06:00. You will have a morning land excursion to a nearby island where you may climb to the peak for a 360 degree view of the Bay. Provided it is a good weather, you will also have time to lie down on the beach and swim in the clean and warm water. Return to the boat, have a late brunch and continue enjoy the bay scenery as the boat approaching the pier.

Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the dock and drive you to the airport for the next destination of your Sapa tour with Laocai. The extension trip to other cities of Vietnam or neighborhood countries is available too. You may check with our travel consultant for further information.
