Day 1: Oslo Arrival & A Walk in the City Welcome to Norway. After you land at Oslo Gardermoen Airport (OSL), our private driver will meet you at the arrival terminal and escort you to the hotel. After checking in, you can enjoy the rest time freely to discover Oslo as you like. Surrounded by mountains, forests and grassland in three directions, Oslo is nicknamed the valley of gods. Its cityscape is also eye pleasing. When wandering around, you can see many buildings that combine the medieval and northern European styles. Day 2: Oslo Half-Day to the Most Eye-Catching Attractions In the morning, our private guide will pick you up from the hotel for the next four hours' walking tour. First, we will stop by Akershus Fortress. It was built in 1300 to resist foreign invasion and now becomes the most typical medieval building in Oslo. Then, leave for Karl Johans gate. It is the main street of Oslo and many historical sites, such as the Royal Palace and Oslo Cathedral, are situated here. Besides, lined with numerous stores, Karl Johans is a good place for you to go shopping. Next, you will be led to visit Oslo City Hall and Vigeland Park. Later, our guide will drop you off at Viking Ship Museum and say goodbye. After touring the museum yourself, you may take a boat at the nearby port and get back to downtown. Day 3: Experience Flam Railway & Boat Trip to Sognefjord Enjoy Beaufitul Fjords in Norway After breakfast, our guide will accompany you to take the train (Comfort Class) bound for Myrdal. Upon arrival, transfer to famous Flam Railway to get to Flam. After a short break, we will take a boat crossing Sognefjord, the largest and deepest fjord in Norway, to reach the town of Balestrand. Balstrand is situated on the northern shore of Sognefjord and is known for picturesque landscape from the peaks. Stay one night in Balstrand. Day 4: A Free Morning in Balestrand & Cruise to Bergen You can enjoy private time to explore the town of Balstrand this morning. If interested, you may pay extra to take part in a guided kayak tour to Sognefjord. In the late afternoon, our guide will escort you to take a cruise to Bergen. On arrival, we will walk to the hotel not far away. Meals: Breakfast Accommodation: Thon Hotel Rosenkrantz Bergen or similar (4 stars)
Day 5: Colorful Bergen & Magnificent Fjord Scenery Bergen is the second largest city in Norway and has been listed as the cultural capital of Europe by the UN. A three hours' guided walking tour is offered this morning for you to enjoy the charm of this city to the full. First, our guide will show you around Bryggen. This area is famous for lines of colorful wooden houses, and you can take many memorial photos here. Besides, as an important town of Hanseatic League during the 14th to the mid-16th century, Bryggen retains the feature of brisk trade, and you can see various goods such as stockfish, grains, furs and accessories. Next, we will take Floibaneu funicular to reach the top of Mount Floyen, where you can feast your eyes on the stunning fjord landscape. No activities are arranged this afternoon.
