Day 1: Arrival in Niger
After arriving at Niamey international airport by air, you will go to hotel and check in. Though Niamey lies in the south of the Sahara Desert which leads to a dry and hot weather, the city has high trees, flourishing flowers and grass for that the River Niger goes across the city. Those milky buildings and elegant villas hide in the city with strong tropical styles, thus it is a desert oasis and tourist city.
Day 2: Ingal
Take a ride from Niamey in the morning, and you will arrive in Ingal in the evening. After arrival, you will enjoy the dinner and appreciate the local lively dancing and singing show. Later, you will rest in Tuareg camp.
Day 3: Cure Salée
Today, you will attend the opening ceremony of the traditional Cure Salée. Cure Salée is an annual festival used to celebrate the gather of Berbers and Wodaabes in Ingal, and it is also a signal of the end of rainy season. Usually, Cure Salée is host in the last two weeks of September every year.
Day 4: Cure Salée
You will stay in Ingal to experience the happy atmosphere of Cure Salée during the two days. During the festival, you can enjoy the beauty contest, camel races, singing and dancing shows, and other cultural activities. It is also an excellent chance for you to get to know about the living customs and culture of the local.
Day 5: Agadez
After the end of Cure Salée, you will depart from Ingal to Agadez, which is a vital trade market of Algeria, exporting livestock, pelts, and famous for silver manufacture. It has a rather developed tourism. Dating back to 14 A.D., it has a long history. After arrival, you can visit Agadez Grand Mosque in the desert.
Day 6: Agadez - Niamey
Continue your trip in Agadez in the morning. You will go to visit the palace of the sultan of Air, livestock market, and then visit Berbers craftsmen and blacksmiths to see how they make handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will go back to Niamey.
Day 7: Niamey - Departure from Niger
First you will have a tour in Niamey. You are going to see Grand Marché, Niger National Museum, zoo, Wadata artisan center, Niger River, etc. The museum is one of the famous African museums and also the first choice of scenic spot for foreign visitors. As for Wadata artisan center, it was built in 1992 as a cooperative program between Niger and Luxembourg. It is of African construction style, thus called the church in desert. After the tour, you will go to the airport and take an evening flight leaving Niger.
