Best Marrakech Desert Travel

After breakfast, drive to Zagora. During the journey, we will cross the High Atlas Mountains, and drive through Tizi n' Tichka pass. We will stop to visit some Berber villages, which offer a good chance to learn about the traditional Berbers' culture and how the locals used to live in the past. Later, have a short break at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit this site when coming back here.

Afterwards, continue to Zagora, where camel trek is specially arranged for you. Then, the guided camel trekking will lead you to Zagora desert camp. At the end of the day, we will enjoy some Berber music and stay overnight in the Zagora desert camp.

Early up in the morning, we will transfer to the Erg Chebbi, the popular sand dunes in Merzouga. Along the way, we will pass through the Draa Valley, bottom of which is home to palm trees, while the surrounding area is brown or red barren land. After passing Alnif, make a short stopover at the Rissani city, which boasts vast historic relics. Sijilmassa, the most famous historic site, was once a bustling Berber city and medieval trade depot at the edge of the Sahara Desert. If time permits, the Moulay Ali Cherif Mausoleum is also worth a visit for its exquisite interior.

Afterwards, we will drive across the Erg Chebbi to Merzouga sand dunes. At this time, it's arranged for you to take a camel to continue your desert adventure. Along the way, enjoy the spectacular desert sunset. Finally, reach the middle of the Sahara desert and stay overnight in a Berber tent.

Be up early in the morning to appreciate the stunning desert sunrise. After breakfast, we will depart for Erfoud, a charming Saharan oasis town, for a visit. Then drive across the Tafilat oasis to arrive at Tinjdad for a stop. Afterwards, we will arrive at the Todra Gorges, one of the Morocco's narrowest and steepest valleys. The brownish-red steep cliffs attracts many rock climbers from time to time. The last stop today is the Dades Valley, where you can not only see amazing scenes of steep cliffs but also visit the traditional Berber villages and ancient Kasbahs scattered around. Overnight in Dades Gorge.

After breakfast, we will first arrive at the Valley of Roses - Kelaa Mgouna, where you can watch the pink-colored rocks, and all kinds of rose derivatives, from food to skin care products. Then stop at Skoura to visit the Kasbahs Amridil, the most impressive and well-preserved Kasbah in the region. After that, we will come to Ait Ben Haddou again and go inside for a visit. Finally we will transfer to the hotel in Ouarzazate.

This morning, we will first head to visit the Atlas Corporation Studio which is known as the "Hollywood in Africa". After the visit, we will leave for Marrakech. During the journey, we will drive through the Ounila Valley to appreciate the beautiful scenery. Then, stop at the city of Telouet and visit its Kasbahs, which belongs to The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Thereafter, continue to Marrakech and check into hotel.

Today is a full-day for sightseeing around Marrakech, the red city and imperial city. The first stop is the Bahia Palace, built in the end of the 19th century.

Later, tour at the Saadian Tombs, whose interior is lavishly decorated to remind visitors of noble lives of the royal family. Then, appreciate the landmark of Marrakech - the Koutobia Mosque from the outside for it is only available for Muslims. The last stop today is the fabulous Djemaa-el-Fna, aka sleepless market.
