Mauritius Highlights

After breakfast, the chauffeur guide will pick you up and send you to the port for the catamaran ride to Ile Aux Cerfs Island. This island is famous for multiple water sports, among which paragliding, underwater walking and kayaking are the three exciting projects we arranged for you. For any other activities, you may pay on the spot at your own expense in case you are interested in. Around noon, you will share a hearty barbecue lunch with your group members on the catamaran. The chauffeur guide will send you back to your hotel at the end of the day.

This morning, we will go on to the north of this island country. We will first go to Chateau De Labourdonnais, used to be a colonial plantation with large area of fruit trees. Then we'll visit SSR Botanic Garden, or called Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens. It is full of tropical plants and the world's largest Amazon water lily. Near the botanical garden, L'Aventure du Sucre is the museum showing Mauritius' cane sugar industry. You can learn how to process cane sugar and see various cane candies. Have lunch on your own with the chauffeur guide's recommendations.

In the afternoon, our sightseeing will extend to the capital Port Louis. We are going to hang out at the large shopping malls – Central Market and Caudan Waterfront. Central Market is very native with specialties, handcrafts and spices, etc. The square of Caudan Waterfront is a popular photo site with many umbrellas in different bright colors hanging over your head. Later we're going to visit Aapravasi Ghat, the site of the first settlement of oversea indentured labors in the colonial age, which is a world cultural heritage nowadays. Finally, we'll go to Marie Reine de la Paix, an open church constructed with white marbles on the mountain. You can get a bird's eye view of the port and whole Port Louis by sea.

Get on a shared speed boat at dawn, to see cute dolphins in the sea with other visitors. You'll also get a chance to swim with these clever dolphins. After having an enjoyable time with dolphins, return to your hotel and have breakfast. Then it's the free time for you to stroll around until about 10:30, when the chauffeur guide will take you to go through the highlights in the south western part of Mauritius. Firstly, Casela Nature Parks, a large African styled wildlife zoo with numerous flora and fauna, like a mini Kenya exactly. After that, we will set out to the Chamarel 7 Colored Earth, a miraculous place with colored soil. Passing by Chamarel Waterfalls to take pictures, we will reach Chamarel Viewpoint, where is good to overlook the waterfalls as well as the scenic coast. At last, we will see the beautiful gorges at Black River Gorges Viewpoint, and go back to the hotel.

Today is a free day. You may relax at the swimming pool in hotel, taste palatable local snacks, or join the water sports provided by the hotel.
