We are going to visit northern Mauritius today. The first stop will be Chateau De Labourdonnais, an old and peaceful manor with many fruit trees. Then we will go to SSR Botanic Garden (Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens), where many tropical plants are grown. The highlight of this large botanical garden is the Amazon water lilies, which are the specie with the largest lily pad on the earth. Next, we are to visit L'Aventure du Sucre nearby, the museum of Mauritius cane sugar. You can learn the process of making cane sugar there.
Have lunch on your own, the chauffeur guide will recommend restaurants meeting your taste. In the afternoon, we'll go to Temple de Triolet, or called Maheswarnath Mandir, the largest Hindu temple of Lord Shiva on the island. Afterwards we will get to Notre Dame Auxiliatrice, the old colonial church with eye-catching red roofs and white walls. In the end of today, we will go snorkeling at the popular snorkeling place Grand Baie, to see colorful reefs in the sea water.
