Costa Rica Rainforest Vacation Tour

The driver guide will greet you warmly at the hotel lobby after breakfast. Then we will start with La Fortuna 147 kilometer (91 miles) away by 3 hours' drive. Arenal Volcano, the most active and famous volcano in Costa Rica, is situated there. On the way, you will visit the Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfall Gardens with driver guide. Finally the driver guide will transfer you to La Fortuna and check in the hotel.

In the morning, we will spend time at Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridge Park, we will enjoy a sky walk to cross the forests. In the 6 bridges, you can also appreciate a variety of rainforest vegetation and observe the various birds. In the afternoon, we will visit the Arenal Volcanoes National Park including Arenal Volcano, Arenal Lake and La Fortuna Waterfall. Arenal Volcano erupts every 5 - 10 minutes on average. And during that time, large area of volcanic cloud will cover the sky and the roar is quite loud. When night falls, enjoy a leisure time in Tabacon Hot Spring.

In the morning, we will take a Don Juan Coffee & Chocolate tour to learn the working process of making coffee and chocolate. To get to Monteverde, we will take the jeep with driver to the port in Arenal Lake first and go to the opposite port by boat. Finally, drive 60 kilometers (37 miles) to the city in 2.5 hours. We will pass by pasture and coffee plantation on the way. After checking in the hotel, the rest time of the day is free time for you.

Today the group Hanging Bridges tour, group Zipline tour and night tour will be arranged. After breakfast, we will take a group Hanging Bridge Tour and group Zipline tour in Monteverde Sky Adventures Park to appreciate the plants and animals in the tropical rainforests. You will fly over the rainforests quickly which is very exciting. In the evening, a night tour is prepared for you. We can hear a fantastic concert co-performed by several kinds of frogs and hundred kinds of insects. If luckily, we can also observe other wild animals like two-toed sloth and kinkajou.

In the morning, you can spend the time as you like. In the afternoon, the driver will transfer you back to San Jose which is 140 kilometers away and will take about 2.5 hours to reach. After arrival, check in the hotel.

Today, our trip comes to an end. The hotel free shuttles will transfer you to Juan Santamaría International Airport in San Jose. Wish you a pleasant trip home!
