Everest Short Trekking

After a big breakfast, the guide will lead you to walk through the beautiful pine forest and some suspension bridges on the Dudh Kosi River and then arrive at the checkpoint in Sagarmatha National Park, which covers an area of 1,148 square kilometers of the Himalayan ecological zone. After showing the permits and other documents, we are allowed to enter the reserve. Then, trek through the Jorsale village and a number of forests and bridges, we'll get to the confluence of the Dudhkoshi and Bhotekoshi rivers. Continue hiking for a few hours more, we're going to reach the famous Namche Bazaar (3,427 meters), the local trade center. It can be advantageous if you plan to buy something like woolen clothes, trekking gear, cheese, electronic devices, and local agricultural products. We will stay overnight in a local guesthouse or teahouse.

Today's plan is for you to acclimatize to the high altitude and prevent the altitude sickness. We will take a short detour to Khunde village or just visit the Namche Bazaar. Then we'll hike to the Tourist Center near the Sagarmatha National Park to see some introduction to Sherpa climbers, animals and plants. After, return to the guesthouse or teahouse.

After enjoying the delicious breakfast, we are going to head for Thame (3,440 meters), a very traditional and pretty village where we will take a relaxing stroll and pay a visit to famous local monasteries. As the path from Namche Bazaar is relatively flat, the 5-hour hiking is also a good opportunity for you to adapt to the high altitude. Stay overnight at Thame.

Today we're going to hike towards Syangboche Airstrip. The path is steep for the first two hours, then it becomes flat all the way to Khumjung (3,790 meters), a village surrounded by Kondge Peak, Thamserku Peak and Khumbila Peak. There, we will visit an ancient monastery, which stores the scalp of Yeti, a centuries-old abominable snowman. In addition, the Khumjung School - first built by Mt. Everest's first climber, Sir Edmund Hillary and traditional alpine settlements are also the highlights of Khumjung. We will spend the night in local guesthouse.

Through a lot of yak farms, today's trek to Tengboche (3,867 meters) is brilliant with the views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam Mountain and Mt. Thamserku. Reach the Kyangjuma - a small village situated to the west side of the Dudh Kosi River, and then go to Dudh Koshi, which is the highest river in terms of elevation in Nepal. It is two and a half hours' walk from that place to Tengboche - famous for Tengboche Monastery, opening after 4 p.m. Tengboche is particularly fascinating. Here, you can enjoy the wonderful night view of some of the highest mountains in the world. We will stay here for one night.

We will admire the sunrise on high and then follow the trail back to Namche Bazaar. Have a good rest tonight.

Start early in the morning, we'll follow the same route back to Lukla, taking about 7 hours. Our trekking adventure will be officially over when you leave Sagarmatha National Park. Spend the night in Lukla.
