Day 1: Arrival in Ukraine
You will fly to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine. Kiev has a long and splendid history. Archaeological discoveries show that this city was first built in the late 6th and early 7th century. In the downtown area of Kiev, you can see dozens of boulevards and hundreds of street gardens. All the modern buildings are surrounded by flowers and trees, thus Kiev is praised as “Garden City”. After arrival, you will go to the city center to visit Babiy Yar, in which more than 30 thousand Jews were killed cruelly by Nazis in 1941. Then you will transfer to the hotel and check in.
Day 2: Kiev
Today you will visit Jewish sites which located in Kiev. In the morning, you will pay a visit to a synagogue named Brodskiy, Memorial to Golda Meir and Sholom Aleichem monument. Then the afternoon tour will take you to visit the Kurenivskoye Cemetery and many other sites related to Jews.
Day 3: Kiev - Zhytomir - Berdychev - Uman
In the morning, you will travel to Customize to visit Old Jewish quarter, graves of Reb Wolf, Reb Aaron the Great Maggid and Bogunsky Forest Memorial. After lunch, you will proceed to Berdychev, which was hailed as “Jerusalem of Volhynia Province”. Here you are going to visit the Old Jewish quarter, synagogues and Jewish cemeteries, all of which are very attractive to Jewish tourists. After the tour here, you will move on to Uman.
Day 4: Uman - Odessa
The morning tour will begin with the visit in Uman. In Judaism, Uman became famous for being the burial site of the founder of Breslov Hasidic dynasty - Nachman of Breslov. Every Rosh Hashana, the pilgrimages to this site attracts thousands of people from all over the world. In Uman, you will visit the Tomb of Rabbi Shneur Zalman and the Alter Rebe Memorial, the founder of Lubavitch Chassidic. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Odessa, which used to be the center of Jewish culture.
Day 5: Odessa
The whole day will spend in Odessa. The Jewish sites you are going to visit today include Prymorsky Boulevard, Potemkin Steps, sculptures of Duc de Richelieu, Ballet Theater, synagogues, Stolyarsky Music School, Jewish schools and community centers. You will have a better understanding of Jewish culture and history through this tour.
Day 6: Departure from Ukraine
The whole morning is free on your own and you can arrange the activities by yourselves. In the afternoon you will drive to Odessa Airport and leave from Ukraine by air.
