The focus of the third day is the Old City of Jerusalem. Your professional driver-guide will first take you to the Garden of Gethsemane, and then to Mt. Zion. You will focus on the Dormition Abbey, the Tomb of David and the Last Supper Room in Mount Zion. The Dormition Abbey was built in 1910, and Orthodox believe it is the place where Jesus' mother Mary is buried. The Tomb of David is the tomb of King David of Israel. Of all the kings of Israel, King David is described as the most righteous king and a great warrior, musician and poet. For the Jews, this is the most sacred place after the Western Wall.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is Christian Holy Land, one of Jerusalem's Christian Basilicas. Located in the Old City of East Jerusalem, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher is where Jesus Christ was killed, buried, and resurrected. Then you will walk along Via Dolorosa to the Western Wall, the most important shrine in Judaism. For thousands of years, when Jews from all over the world returning to Jerusalem, they will come to this stone wall to pray in a low voice, crying about the suffering of exile, hence the name "Wailing Wall".
