Amazing Lake Atitlan Exploration

After enjoying breakfast, the driver guide will pick you up from the hotel and then start today's Antigua street and food tour. Along the way, you can fully experience the rich traditions and culture of the colonial city of Antigua, as well as sample authentic cuisine. The driver guide will explain the stories behind the delicious dishes for you, and finally escort you for a stroll around the bustling neighborhood market. Send you back to your hotel after today's visit.

The driver guide will pick you up from the hotel in the morning, then drive to the village of Jocotenango, where you will not only have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Azotea Coffee Farm and Museum, learn about the importance of coffee in the history of Guatemala, but also know about the Mayan way of life in the past. Later we will visit the unique Jocotenango Church. After the tour we will drive 2 hours to Panagochel and check in a hotel for a good rest.

After breakfast, our Lake Atitlan sightseeing starts, mainly covering several lakeshore villages. The driver guide will pick you up from the hotel and first go to San Juan La Laguna Village by boat together. Upon arrival, tour the town and learn about ancient Mayan textiles. Next, we will take a boat to Santiago Village for you to have lunch at your own cost. In the afternoon, we will visit the accommodation and studios of local artists, the local church Maximon, and you will also have chances to admire various handicrafts in the market. At last, send you back to the hotel to end today's itinerary.

After enjoying breakfast in the morning, the driver guide will pick you up from hotel and leave for Chichicastenango by car. It is a famous market in the area, where you can find vendors selling vegetables, fruits, various textiles, wood and ceramic crafts, etc. You can buy some souvenirs to take home. After the visit, send you back to Guatemala City, which will take about 2 hours and 40 minutes on the way. Tonight, stay in the hotel in Guatemala City.

Good to know: Market in Chichicastenango is only available on Thursdays and Sundays. In case this is not possible on your travel date, we will replace with a visit to the Post Classic Mayan site of Iximche, located halfway between Antigua and Lake Atitlan.
