Upon reaching the wall, you can follow the guide to explore its construction history and unique role in fighting against ancient enemies.
Lunch Advice: Before climbing the wall, our guide will suggest that you buy some fast food for lunch at Subway or Burger King in the nearby business street. There are few appropriate takeout restaurants around the wall and we want to leave you more time to appreciate the wall. Some takeout for a picnic on the wall can be an unforgettable experience.

Different approaches to go up and down the Great Wall
Hike the whole way: We will reach NO.8 or NO.10 watchtower if we hike from the North Entrance on the Great Wall. If we start walking from the South Entrance, we will arrive at No. 6 or No. 8 watchtower. We need to climb about 500 steps to go to our destination. Normally it will take us around 30 minutes to reach the watchtower.
You can choose to enjoy the scenery leisurely in a round-trip cable car, or take a chair lift up, or even a luge sliding down which is a challenging option for some tourists such as the seniors. The choice is yours, if you need some help with the tickets purchasing, our guide will always be there to offer help. In addition of the above options, there is also one for you to choose. You can hike up to experience how hard it was to establish this masterpiece. And when you get tired, you can take a cable car or a luge down the way to rest your legs for minutes and take photos from the above. You can get aboard the cable car at the No. 14 watchtower or take the luge at the No. 6 watchtower. |
