Baggage Allowance

 Baggage Categories

Consignment: Baggage being consigned by air
Currency, securities, jewelry, important files, breakable items and other valuables are not allowed to be included as consignment baggage. Any of the items mentioned will be taken as common baggage in case of any compensation claims for damage.

Dangerous articles, such as inflammable, explosive, corrosive, poisonous, radioactive, polymerizing or magnetized material; firearms, sharp or lethal weapons and any articles forbidden or limited to import or export according to Chinese laws are prohibited to be shipped.

All the consignment baggage should be well-packed and locked with a clear note of the traveler's name, address and contact info. The weight of each piece should not exceed 50 Kg (110Lbs) and the volume should be less than 40X60X100 in centimeter (15.7X23.6X39.4 in inch).


Carry-on: the baggage a traveler is allowed to take inside passenger compartment and be taken care of by its owner.

The total weight of the carry-on baggage for one traveler should not exceed five kilograms (11 pounds) and holders of First-Class ticket are allowed to carry two pieces. The volume of each piece should be less than 20X40X55 in centimeter (7.8X15.7X21.6 in inch). Anything exceeding the limit should be taken as consignment baggage.

Take-with: small free of charge pieces, which are left in a traveler's own custody.
They usually include a personal handbag, overcoat, raincoat or umbrella; walking stick, camera or binoculars or other reasonable articles.


 Baggage Allowances

Checked Baggage Allowances for Domestic Flights

According to weight system regulations, baggage allowance of each passenger is:

      a)  40 kilograms (88 lbs.) for first-class passenger

      b)  30 kilograms (66 lbs.) for business-class passenger

      c)  20 kilograms (44 lbs.) for economy-class passenger

      d)  No free baggage allowance is granted to infants paying ten percent of the adult fare


Checked Baggage Allowances for International Flights

There are two methods of calculating the baggage.         

     1. Piece System
        a) First Class& Business Class
        Two pieces of baggage, of either of which the sum of the greatest outside linear dimensions does not exceed 62 inches (158 centimeters), and the weight of either does not exceed 32kilograms (70 pounds). 

         b) Economy Class& Discounted Class
Two pieces of baggage (measured together), of which the sum of the greatest outside linear dimensions does not exceed 107 inches (269 centimeters) and that the weight of either does not exceed 32kilograms (70 pounds).


     2. Weight System

Carry-on Baggage Allowances

Passengers holding adult-fare or half-fare tickets are allowed to bear only one piece of unchecked baggage. The baggage should be suitable for placing under the passenger's seat or in the overhead compartment, and the sum of the greatest outside linear dimensions does not exceed 45 inches (115 centimeters).

 How about my pets

For travelers who want to bring their pets on the air travel, they should declare the situation when they book the tickets or make the seat reservation. With the consent of Airline Company, all animals will be considered as consignment transported by air. Travelers should bring their pets to the consignment office at the airport in the appointed period. The container used to keep pets should be

keeping animals from escaping or extending out
keeping good ventilation
keeping animal wastes from leaking

Animals and the containers will be charged separately from the common baggage as overweight baggage.
