East Coast Exploration

In the morning, we will drive through the states of New Hampshire and Vermont en route to Canada and enjoy the picturesque small villages and mountains. After crossing the border we will enter Quebec, Canada where you may have a chance to visit a local maple leaf farm. In the evening, you could taste some famous French and Canadian cuisine (optional tour).

We will start today’s trip by visiting Quebec City, the capital of the province of Quebec and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will visit the landmark Quebec Provincial Parliament Building and Castle and then take a walk around the city. We’ll also admire Frontenac Castle and a stunning view of the St. Lawrence River. After that we will drive to Montreal. If we have plenty of time, it is recommended that you visit Rue du Tresor before leaving Montreal. Upon arrival, tour around Old Montreal, an area known as the “Port of Vieux”. Besides, we will make stops at Jacques Cartier Square and Notre Dame Cathedral.

In the morning we will leave Montreal for Ottawa, the capital of Canada. Ottawa is a garden city with one of the most impressive parliamentary buildings in the world. In the afternoon we will travel along 1000 Island Parkway to Canada's largest city, Toronto, on the shore of Lake Ontario. On arrival, you may join an optional tour to visit the St. Lawrence River on a cruise ship and enjoy the spectacular scenery.

In the morning we will drive by Toronto's modern skyscrapers, the most famous of which is the Canada's National Tower, one of the tallest buildings in the world with a height of 553 meters (1,815 feet). If you don't have acrophobia and want to take a challenge, you can take an optional tour: Stand on the glass floor 300 meters above the ground and enjoy the view below. After that we will continue driving along Lake Ontario and across the Welland Canal to Niagara Falls, where you will be amazed by the unmatched natural wonder. You can also choose to take a Hornblower cruise below the falls.

On the sixth day we will drive through the farmland of upstate New York into Pennsylvania. In the afternoon, the tour director will accompany you to the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battlefield, where President Lincoln delivered his famous 1863 speech. After that we'll drive along the Susquehanna River to southern Pennsylvania and stay for one night.

We plan to visit Amish Country in the morning and go to Amish Museum to know about their old living traditions and habits over 300 years old (entry fee included). It is said that the Amish do not use electricity or any modern equipment in their daily lives. In the afternoon we will travel to Washington DC, the capital of the United States.

We will enjoy a city tour in Washington, D.C. today. The attractions include Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, White House, Arlington National Cemetery, and Kennedy Memorial. In the rest of the day you may either visit the museums of the Smithsonian Institution or stroll along the banks of the Potomac River.

Today we are planning to make our way to New York, passing through Philadelphia. Philadelphia is called the birthplace of USA, so we will get off the car and visit Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. We will arrive in New York at around 17:00 pm and this USA east coast tour will end in midtown Manhattan. Hope you have had a good time with us.
