Day 1: Arrive at Luleå Airport & Transfer to Aurora Safari Camp in Swedish Wilds Winter in Sweden Welcome to Sweden! After arriving at Lulea Airport, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to Aurora Safari Camp in Swedish Wilds. We will book a warm glamping Lavvu tent for you in advance. Located ahead of the Arctic Circle, the camp is an excellent place to see the northern lights. The cold-proof gears such as fatbikes, snowshoes, toboggans and kicksleighs are provided by the camp for all visitors. Wearing them, you can take part in some optional outdoor activities, such as ice fishing and snowshoe trekking. Later in the afternoon, if the weather is good between late February and early March, we will arrange a hot air ballooning for you, lasting for about 15-20 minutes. After, local snacks will be provided by a fire as dinner. Meals: Dinner Accommodation: Aurora Safari Camp
Day 2: A Free Day in the Wilderness, with Optional Activities Today will be a free day for you to have fun in the winter wilderness. You may use the outdoor gears here, including fatbikes, kicksleds, snowshoes and Nordic skis, or enjoy the lakeside Sauna. The optional snowmobile excursion is available in the afternoon so please let us know if you are interested. Day 3: Dog Sledding Adventure & Stay at the Arctic Bath Cabin on the Flowing Water In the morning, ride a dog sled through the beautiful snow forest. After that, we will transfer you to an Arctic Bath cabin and check in. You need to walk across a floating bridge to reach the cabin. The cabin is fully equipped, including a bathroom with bath and shower, air conditioning, mini bar, spa bar, WIFI, underfloor heating and stove. More interestingly, the beautiful view of the aurora can be seen from the large French windows of each cabin. We will provide you a spa robe, swimming wear and billowing, so you can enjoy the sauna and spa with ease to dissipate the fatigue of the journey. Day 4: Meet a Reindeer Family We will send you to a local Sami family, who live in a tent known locally as Lavvu. At the same time, their living place is very close to the Arctic Circle, so you will have the opportunity to learn about Sami culture, reindeer domestication knowledge, and can feed the lovely reindeer and taste the local three course lunch. Day 5: Luleå Departure After having breakfast, we will offer you a private transfer to Luleå Airport so you can take your onward flight. Hope you have had a great time with us during this trip.
