Day 1: Arrival in Port Elizabeth, Airport Pick-up
Welcome to South Africa! Your driver guide will pick you up at the airport and escort you to the hotel. The rest time is your free time.

Accommodation: Radisson Blu Hotel, Port Elizabeth (4 stars)

Day 2: Transfer from Port Elizabeth to Addo Elephant National Park
After breakfast, we will head to the scenic road Route 67, the first stop of our south africa garden route tour. There are 67 works of art on both sides which have witnessed the 67 years the national father Nelson Mandela had devoted to the people's freedom in South Africa. Created by the local artists, these artistic works display the life scenes of Mandela. In the afternoon, we will take the car for about 1 hour to Addo Elephant National Park which was established to protect 11 local elephants. Now, there are more than 500 elephants. It is also the country's third largest national park with various animals like the lions, spotted hyaena, rhinos, buffalos and various rare plants. Afterwards, we will have a game drive to find elephants, black rhinos, lions, buffalos and leopards. You may also encounter hyenas, warthogs, zebras, etc.

Day 3: Transfer from Addo to Knysna, the Oyster Box of South Africa
Today, we will tour the amazing Garden Route in the southern coastline. Along the winding coastal road, you will marvel at the mountains and luxuriant virgin forests. In the midway, we will tour Monkeyland Primate Sanctuary and Birds of Eden. Monkeyland is famous for its devotion to save and protect the primates in captivity. Here, you can see 11 kinds of primates. Birds of Eden is the world's largest single free flight aviary where varieties of birds live like Caribbean Flamingo, Golden Pheasant and Ruppell's Parrot. Afterwards, we will drive through Nature's Valley to Knysna Lagoon, the most famous scenic spot in the town. It is popular among fishing and water sports enthusiasts. The abundant underground fish and creatures attract various water birds like sandpiper, heron, kingfishers, Haliaeetus vocifer, Knisner woodpecker. If time permits, you can enjoy a lagoon cruise at dusk or we can do it tomorrow morning.

Day 4: Half Day Knysna Tour
In the morning, we will continue to explore Knysna Heads, Coney Glen Beach, Brenton and Buffalo Bay in Knysna. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the free time.

Day 5: Transfer from Knysna to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich Capital of the World
We will drive to Oudtshoorn 119 kilometers (74 miles) away in 2 hours. It is well-known for ostrich, thus also called “ostrich capital of the world”. We will visit the Cango Caves, the most ancient and spectacular stalactite caves in South Africa.

Day 6: Transfer from Oudtshoorn to Franschoek via Route 62
Today, we will visit Ostrich Farm first. Then proceed to the next stop, Franschoek, by car for 4 hours via Route 62. It is a wonderful scenic road which links the small towns between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. You will taste the world-class wines when passing by Robertson and Montague midway. At night, we will reach Franschhoek. It is one of the most ancient towns in South Africa. Established by French Huguenots, Franschhoek means French Corner. Huguenots introduces there the French vine species, brewage technology, architectural style and lifestyle. Since then, this town has been the Provence of southern hemisphere filled with strong French color and wine fragrance.

Day 7: Full Day Winelands Tour, Transfer to Cape Town
We will continue the winelands tour today. First, we will go to Paarl for wine tasting. Then visit Taal Monument which was built in 1975 to memorize the centenary of Dutch as the official language. The next stop is Stellenbosch which is known as the City of Oak and Bordeaux in South Africa. You can learn the production and tasting skills of wines and taste the world-class wines. Also, you can go around the special stores and the museum in the town. Finally, move forward to Cape Town, the mother city of South Africa.

Day 8: Full day private Cape Peninsula tour
Today we will go sightseeing the Cape Peninsula. Follow the guide to cross Sea Point boardwalk, Clifton, Camp's Bay and arrive at Hout Bay. Afterwards, we will take a boat there to tour Duiker Island in a distance where thousands of seals inhabit. Then go to the Cape Point Nature Reserve in the southern end. We will also take the funicular to the lighthouse and wonder along the beach. To have a close contact with the wild African penguins, we will drive 30 minutes to the Boulders Beach in Simon's Town which is home to endangered African penguins. Finally, go to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens via Klak Bay and the surfers' paradise Muizenberg. It is the most famous botanical garden in South Africa with about 7,000 kinds of plants.

Day 9: Cape Town City, Table Mountain and Robben Island
To know more about Cape Town, we will pay a visit to Castle of Good Hope, Cape Town City Hall, St. George's Cathedral, Company Gardens and the cultural center Bo-Kaap, also called Cape Malay Quarter. Followed by is the landmark top of the world - Table Mountain, also called God's Dining Table. If weather permits, we will go to the mountain top by cable car to overlook the whole city. In the end, we will take the ferry to Robbin Island. The most notorious prison in South Africa is located here. Nelson Mandela, the first black president and the father of South Africa, used to be jailed here for 18 years.

Tip: When buying the tickets and embarking the ferry, you need to provide the original or copy of any one of the identity certificates: identification, passport, birth certificate, or driving license.
