Slovakia Castle Tour

Our driver-guide will pick you up at the hotel lobby at around 9am and offer you a 3 hours guided tour to explore Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia. We will first pay a visit to the landmark buildings of this city, including the Presidential Palace and Slavin Monument, a huge cemetery for 6,845 Soviets soldiers who lost their lives in 1945 during the liberation of Bratislava. Next, we will spend some time visiting the courtyards and gardens of Bratislava Castle, a time-honored symbol of this city standing on the hill above the Danube River. Then we will take a walking tour to see some architectures from the outside, such as the St.Martin Cathedral, Keglevich Palace, National Theater and Opera building, Main Square, Old Town Hall, Franciscan Church, and St. Michaels Gate. They provide very excellent backgrounds for photos, so do not miss the chances to keep lifetime memories! In the afternoon, you are free to wonder around on your own.

This morning, our driver guide will transfer you to the train station in Bratislava, where you can catch a train to Poprad, which takes 4.5 hours on the way. Upon arrival, our local driver guide will pick you up and start today's tour. We will first drive to High Tatras, a scenic mountain range that is shared by both Slovakia and Poland. Then we will take an excursion to Tatras Mountain to enjoy the panorama. Next we will visit some of the best scenic spots on this mountain, including Strbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec, and Tatranská Lomnica. When the tour ends, let's check in at a local hotel in High Tatras.

Today, we will drive to famous Spis Castle in Spis Region, one of the largest castles in central Europe. It was a royal castle that was built in the 12th century on the important trading route leading to the Baltic Sea. In 1780, the castle was destroyed in a fire and what we see today are actually ruins. In 1993, it was included in the world cultural heritage list. Because of the weather conditions, the Spis Castle remains closed from every November to March. If we travel there during this time, we can only appreciate it from the outside. Then we will move to the nearby Spisska Kapitula, a religious settlement in Spis Region, where you can see the St Martin's Cathedral. In the afternoon, we will drive to the historical town Levoca and have lunch there. After lunch, we will go to Kezmarok to taste Tatratea, a traditional Slovakian liquor. After today's sightseeing, you will be transferred to your hotel in High Tatras.

This morning, we will visit the Belianska Cave famous for stalactites. Among the caves on Tatras Mountain, it is the largest as well as the only cave that is open to the public. Later we will drive to the National Park Pieniny to relax in the beautiful natural scenery. Besides, we will arrange you a one-hour rafting here. After rafting, it is free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we will head for Stara Lubovna to visit the well-preserved Lubovna Castle. During the visit, you will learn more about the history of Slovakia. At last, return to the hotel in High Tatras.

In the morning, our driver guide will escort you to take a cable car to Skalnate Pleso Tarn. After ascending to the summit, we will make a short trek and enjoy the surrounding scenery. At around 12 o' clock at noon, our driver guide will accompany you to Poprad Train Station so that you can catch the train back to Bratislava. Upon arrival, our driver guide based there will pick you up at the train station and then escort you to the hotel.
