Day 1: Arrive in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing! Your two weeks tour in China will begin today when your flight lands at the Beijing airport. Our experienced guide will wait for you at the arrival hall. Then the driver and our private guide will send you to a noted hotel for a good rest.
Day 2: Beijing
After breakfast, we will first pay a visit to the grand Tiananmen Square, the biggest city square in the world. Afterwards, we will turn to visit the Forbidden City to appreciate its magnificent palace complex. At noon, an a la carte lunch will be served to you at a local restaurant. After that, we will head for today’s last scenic spot, the Temple of Heaven where you will see the famous architectures inside such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and Echo Wall.

Day 3: Beijing
Today’s sightseeing will be highlighted by a visit to the Mutianyu Great Wall, the essence part of the Great Wall. The round-trip cable car service is provided to save your energy. Standing on the wall, you will be deeply impressed by the continuous and rolling mountains together with the luxurious forest in front of you. Today’s lunch will not be arranged, so it is suggested that you bring some food with you in advance. Afterwards, we will drive towards the hotel in the downtown area stopping. We will leave a short stay in front of the Bird’s Nest for you to appreciate this amazing building from outside. We suggest you take some photos to record this artful building if you like. Finally, a stroll at a local market will make you fully relaxed.

Day 4: Beijing - Urumqi
This morning, you will follow our private guide to visit the Summer Palace. Being a representative Chinese royal garden, it attracts numerous people coming over here to admire its exquisite buildings and the picturesque scenery. Later, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight to Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Upon your arrival, our local guide will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel.

Day 5: Urumqi - Kashgar
After breakfast, you will take a morning flight to Kashgar. When you arrive, our local guide will send you to the hotel. After settling down, the guide will show you around the Sunday Market, the biggest market in northwest China. It is the core trading point along the ancient Silk Road that possesses more than 2,000 years of history.

Day 6: Kashgar - Urumqi - Turpan
Today's exploration begins with a visit to the Id Kah Mosque, the most influential mosque in northwest China. Here you have the chance to thoroughly explore the Islamic architectures with grand shape and exquisite carving as well as to feel the tranquil atmosphere in this religious shrine. Then we will proceed to visit the Old Street in Kashgar where you will know more about the lifestyle of the local people. The last destination is the Abakh Khoja Tomb.

After that, you will be escorted to the airport for your flight back to Urumqi. When you arrive, our local guide will meet you and send you to Turpan to check into a comfortable hotel.

Day 7: Turpan
This morning we will visit the famous Jiaohe Ruins, which is the oldest and best-preserved earthen city in the world. Then the guide will lead you to visit the largest ancient Islamic-style Sugong Pagoda. Later we will head for the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave, which as the name implies, possesses dozens of caves with more than 40 exquisite murals inside the cave. The last stop we are heading for will be the famous Flaming Hill, the hottest place in China with amazing landscape.

Day 8: Turpan - Dunhuang
Today we will visit the Karez Well, a special irrigation system used in the desert areas which has greatly helped the local people to solve the problem of water shortage during the past four hundred years. After that, you will be first escorted to take a 3-hour high speed train to Liu Yuan South Railway Station, where you will see our local guide waiting for you. Then drive to the hotel in Dunhuang to have a good rest.

Day 9: Dunhuang
This morning after breakfast, we will devote our time visiting the world-wide known Mogao Grottoes. There are about 735 caves, inside which are more than 45,000 square meters of murals and 2,415 colorful mud sculptures, through which we can have a close contact with the Buddhism culture along the Silk Road. After that, we will continue to visit the Dunhuang Museum where we will see many precious relics and know more about the history of the Silk Road.

Day 10: Dunhuang - Xi'an
Today comes another highlight of our two weeks silk road package. We will pay a visit to the Echoing-Sand Dune and ride a camel to reach the magical Crescent Lake. While you are climbing the dunes, you will hear the sound of the slipping sands under your feet, which will bring every climber a marvelous feeling. Afterwards, you will be escorted to board a flight to Xi’an. Upon your arrival, the local guide will greet you at the Xi’an Airport and send you to the hotel.

Day 11: Xi'an
This morning we will head for the Terracotta Army. As one of the most representative scenic spots in Xi’an, it will never disappoint you when you walk into the museum and see the numerous orderly ranked life-sized clay warriors with different countenance and gestures. Then we proceed to visit the Shaanxi History Museum to learn about the splendid history of China. Later we will pay a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to store the Buddhist scriptures.

Day 12: Xi'an - Shanghai
Today we will first pay a visit to the grand Xi’an City Wall, the largest ancient city wall in China. Afterwards we will drive to visit a local family and have an authentic home-cooked lunch there. After that, the guide will escort you to board the flight to Shanghai. When you arrive, our guide will wait for you outside the airport customs in Shanghai and then send you to the hotel.

Day 13: Shanghai
First we will go to visit the Shanghai Museum, famous for its abundant storage of precious ancient artworks. Then we will turn to visit the tranquil Yu Garden to appreciate the classical and elegant gardening landscape. At noon, we will taste an a la carte farewell lunch with the authentic Shanghai cuisines. Afterwards, we arrange a Huangpu River cruise for you to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the two banks. After disembarking, we leave some free time for you to take a walk at the Bund area. Then we’ll spend some time strolling at a featured Shanghai cultural street before returning to the hotel.
