Day 1: Arrival in Bucharest, Airport Pick-up
Welcome to Romania! When you get to Otopeni Airport, our English speaking driver-guide will greet you and then send you to the hotel. After settling down, you'll be guided to visit the Old Town or the Revolution Square.

Accommodation: Capitol Hotel (4 stars)

Day 2: Peles Castle & Bran Castle excursion, Arrival in Brasov
Today, we will first make a 2-hour transfer to Peles Castle, the summer palace of Romania's first king; then the famous Bran Castle, the setting place of the novel "Dracula". After, we will go to Council Square of Brasov. Since the medieval time, the square has been the city center and now it is one of the most popular places in Brasov. Before entering Brasov, the driver-guide will also escort you to the mountain top to get a panoramic view of Brasov.

NOTE: The indoor part of Peles Castle is closed on every Monday and Tuesday from November to next March, while the courtyard is open all the time.

Day 3: Bear Sanctuary & Viscri exploration, Sighisoara city trip
The first stop today is Black Church, which is a Gothic architecture traced back to the 14th century. The second stop, the Bear Sanctuary, is a popular natural site in Romania. A private guide will lead you to have a wilderness experience for an hour. Then we will move on to old Rasnov Fortress. After that, we will drive to two UNESCO world heritage sites - Saxon villages of Viscri and Sighisoara. In Viscri, we will have lunch and visit a Gypsy family, to learn the local skill of making ironware. You can also enjoy a carriage ride around there, while seeing the daily life of local people. In Sighisoara, we will visit the Medieval Citadel, its Square, Tailor's Bastion, the Dominican Monastery, the Clock Tower and the Church on the hill by climbing up the 175-step Student Stairs. Stay overnight in Sighisoara.

Day 4: Transylvania Fortified Churches & Turda Salt Mine discovery, Cluj Napoca walking tour
After breakfast, go to Malancrav and Biertan for a further Saxon culture tour in Transylvania. We will visit the Fortified Churches at first. If you are a weaving lover, the driver-guide can take you to learn the traditional weaving skills in Malancrav; if you like wines, we can go to Richis village for wine tasting and have a self-paid lunch there. Afterwards, drive for 2 hours to get to the marvelous underground Turda Salt Mine to continue the Transylvania trip. In the evening, we will reach Cluj Napoca, the place to stay overnight. The diver-guide will escort you to the Union Square and the museum central square on arrival.

Day 5: Corvin Castle exploration, Sibiu city travel
Today's destination is Sibiu. On the way, we will have stopovers to visit Alba Iulia Citadel and Corvin Castle. The Corvin Castle is very large-scaled, embraced by water on three sides. It is enclosed by towers and high walls, and the wood bridge is the only access to its gate. At dusk, we will reach Sibiu, and the driver-guide will show you around churches in the city center and Council Tower. Stay overnight in Sibiu.

Day 6: Transfagarasan road experience, Arrival in Bucharest
Today we will fully admire the charming nature and human's great creativity along the Transfagarasan road. The road is open to traffic from July to October every year, once regarded as the "greatest road in the world" by BBC Top Gear show. In addition, we will go for more highlights today, including Vidraru Dam, Poienari Fortress, and Curtea de Arges Monastery. Stay overnight in Bucharest.

Note: If Transfagarasan road is closed, we will change our way to Bucharest, visiting the Cozia Monastery and Curtea de Arges Monastery midway.

Day 7: Bucharest sightseeing tour, Airport see-off
Our driver-guide will drop you off at the airport, according to your flight time. Before that, please enjoy your time in the Palace of Parliament and the open-air Village Museum. If there is more time, we will also visit Snagov Monastery.
