Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Sirimon Park, Arrival at Old Moses Camp
In the early morning, we will pick you up at your Nairobi hotel or Nairobi international airport. It's advisable to arrive in Nairobi one day before our departure time. Then, a comfortable vehicle will take you to the gate of Sirimon Park (2,650 meters, 8,700 feet), where we will official start our Mount Kenya trekking. Along the way ascending Mount Kenya, we will trek through the lush forest, which boasts rich bamboo, giant heather plants and other African indigenous plants. In addition to appreciating the natural beauty of plants, we will have a great chance to meet up with naughty monkeys, buffalos, flying birds and other wild animals in this area. Our first hut of this Mount Kenya tour is the Old Moses Camp with the elevation of 3,300 meters (10,827 ft). Here, we will enjoy dinner and spend a good overnight.

Day 2: Continue hiking uphill to the Shipton Camp
After breakfast in the early morning, we will continue your Mount Kenya hike uphill to the Shipton camp. As we trek upwards along the trail, our guide will give a detailed introduction to the many peaks and surroundings features that we will pass through. We will first hike across the Ontulili River, then turn right through the Moorland, later cross the Liki North River, and finally get to the Mackinder's Valley. Along the way, we will take several water breaks for rest and photos. At the end of the day, we will arrive at the well-equipped Shipton Camp with the elevation of 4,200 meters (13,780 ft). From this camp, there is a perfect panoramic view of the towering peaks and winding mountain ranges.

Day 3: Reach Point Lenana for its stunning views, Trek downhill to Met Station
Today, we need to get up before dawn and attempt to reach Point Lenana for its stunning sunrise views. The Point Lenana is 4,985 meters (16,355 ft) above sea level, and this point is also the highest place on our climbing route. On the way up the hill, we need a torch to light up the road ahead of us, and we may also enjoy the starry sky. After around 3.5-hour trekking, we reach the Point Lenana, where we can also see the faint outline of Mount Kilimanjaro on the horizon.

After a short breakfast, it's time to descend and have a hearty breakfast at Mackinder's Camp. Later, we will continue our Mount Kenya trek downhill to Met Station (3,000 meters; 9,843 feet) of Naromoru route. Upon arrival around noon, we will enjoy a full lunch, the rest of the day is free for private activities. Dinner and overnight stay are arranged at the Met station cabins.

Day 4: Descend to Naru Moru Park, Transfer back to Nairobi
In the early morning, we have breakfast first and then descend the mount for around 3 hours. Along the way, we will trek through the heavy rain forest and finally get to the gate of Naru Moru Park. Here we will transfer to a comfortable vehicle, which will bring us back to downtown Nairobi, and we will make a drop-off at your Nairobi hotel to end this Mount Kenya climbing tours.     Great climbing experience.
    It just rained on the way up the Mount Kenya, and the road was a bit slippery, so it was not very easy to walk on. But the scenery in the mountains was very pleasant. The night sky after the rain was also beautiful.

    My wife and I were both mountain climbing lovers. We were not very tired during the whole process. The sceneries we encountered on the way were very wonderful! The guide's explanations also made our 4 days Mount Kenya trekking tour more interesting!

    The 4 days hiking from Nairobi was really tiring but wonderful! Along the way, we went through the rich bamboo and other local plants, and met many wild animals. We listened to detailed introductions of peaks and also spent the night in the mountains and enjoyed the starry sky. A very magical experience! If you like climbing mountains and animals, don't miss this route!
