This morning we will head to the archeological site of
Teotihuacan to see the iconic buildings, the
Pyramid of the Sun and the
Pyramid of the Moon. They were the places to worship the Sun God and the Moon God respectively. The Pyramid of the Sun is the third largest in the world and the largest building in Teotihuacan. On its top, you can see the whole Teotihuacan. The Pyramid of the Moon is a smaller but more elaborate structure whose more than 200 steps tilt at different angles.
Afterwards, we will visit a carved
obsidian workshop on the way back to Mexico City, learning about the history and significance of obsidian, observing the carving process, etc. It's a unique and educational experience that can provide insight into the rich cultural heritage associated with obsidian in Mexico.
