Saudi Arabia Heritage Tour

The guide and the driver will pick you up to visit the city. We'll go to Al-Balad, a world heritage site in the historical block, where we can stroll on the streets to appreciate old architecture, fairs and snack bars. We'll also visit Beit Nassif, a famous building in the old city, and have a stopover at Historical Jeddah North Gate for photo taking. Lunch will be arranged on your own, but our guide will offer you some advice on choosing one restaurant.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy the scenery of the Red Sea while taking a bicycle ride along the New Jeddah Corniche, a nice coastal road. Our last stop is the Floating Mosque which is attractive too. Encompassed by water, it draws tourists' attention a lot to see the Red Sea.

After breakfast, we will go for the desert in Jeddah. Reaching the desert in an hour, you can try the sand safari by a motorcycle, which would be very exciting. Rock climbing and hiking are also available. At the Bedouin desert camp, we can get a cup of Arabic tea or coffee, and gaze at stars by the campfire at dusk. After the desert adventure, we'll return to the hotel in downtown Jeddah.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport and fly to Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. Upon your arrival at Riyadh airport, our local guide and the local driver will pick you up for the following trip. We'll enjoy a city tour first in Riyadh, to visit the Al Masmak Museum, showing the old kingship of the country and ancient culture of the city; Al Murabba Palace of the former King Abdul Aziz who contributed much to start a new era of the country in modern times.

After self-paid lunch, we'll go for visiting the National Museum of Saudi Arabia and the National Museum Park, which are the nationwide largest-scale museum and outdoor garden respectively. At the end of today, we'll go to Dira Souq, a traditional Saudi market selling varieties of commodities, especially the wares made of brass. While experiencing the Saudi customs, you may also select some souvenirs here.

Today, we'll head to Old Diriyah, a mazy town which is the most important historical site in Riyadh. We'll see the ruins of palaces, houses and markets, which are all constructed of mud. It's right where Saudi Arabia began, and was the capital in the late 18th and early 19th century. Then we'll go for Kingdom Tower, a vital financial center as well as Riyadh's landmark. This skyscraper was once regarded as one of the Seven Wonders in the New World. You can find restaurants or snack bars easily in the surroundings, thus you can have lunch at your own expense here.

In the afternoon, we'll visit The Al Rajhi Grand Mosque and the King Fahd National Library (closed on Sat & Fri), a typical Arabic architecture.

Today welcomes the highlight of our trip - the Edge of the World, also known as Jebel Fihrayn. It is 120 km (74.6 miles) away from the downtown, and we'll spend 2.5 hours or so to reach here. The Edge of the World is a natural wonder in Saudi Arabia. Standing on the cliffs, you can see an uninterrupted view of the horizon as if you are at the world's edge. The cliffs rise from the desert to the sky, dry gullies crisscross the ground and camels moving near or far, all of which offer a stunning view.
