Today is all for Quito. Quito Old Town is an ancient city of Indians. There are still many famous historical buildings with great artistic charm. So the Quito Old Town is also known as the Great Andean Museum. After breakfast, the driver guide will lead you to El Panecillo first, and then visit the various churches in the old center of Quito, such as the Fundación Iglesia de la Compañía. This Jesuit church is a masterpiece of Baroque and Kitno colonial art, with luxurious golden altars and gilded columns, making it one of the most gorgeous buildings in Ecuador. After the visit, we continue to visit the Mitad Del Mundo. Built in 1936, it is the first equatorial monument built by the Ecuadorian government in Quito.

We will drive 1.5 hours to Otavalo to visit the Otavalo Indian Market, which is considered to be the largest handicraft market in South America. Here you can find local handicrafts made by Otavaleños locals, such as woolen clothing, souvenirs, food and Panama hats. Then we will tour the beautiful Peguche waterfall and Cuicocha Crater Lake. Return to the hotel at last.

After breakfast, we will drive south for 1.5 hours to Cotopaxi Volcano, a relatively active volcano in the Andes. The last eruption was in August 2015. We will hike to the refuge at an altitude of 4,800 meters. If your physical strength permits, we will then continue to the glacier at 5,000 meters. To keep warm, gloves, hats, and shoes suitable for hiking and climbing are needed. After, return to Quito.

The driver guide will send you to the flight to Coca in the morning. After arriving in Coca, the representative of Napo Wildlife Center will pick you up at the airport and head to the main dock on the Napo River, and then take the motorized canoes for 2.5 hours to arrive at the Napo Wildlife Center, where we live for the next three days.

After checking in and a short break, at about 4:30pm, follow the guide to hike the Matapalo Trail. During the short walking, the guide will introduce you to the animals and plants unique to the trail. At 6:40pm, the night walk lasting for an hour will start. Remember to take your camera and flashlight to observe the inserts, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.

At 8:00am after breakfast, set off to hike the Chaguamango Trail. During the trek, the guide will tell you how to identify some medicinal plants which have helped the indigenous people of the Amazon River Basin cure many diseases. You will also see many squirrels playing around by the lake. Take out your camera and record this moment. After, return to the Center for lunch.

In the afternoon, at around 4:30pm, the guide will lead you to enjoy another hiking along the Charapa Trail. It takes an hour and a half to cross this trail. When hiking through the Butterfly Valley, you will see hundreds of butterflies dancing, which is definitely one of the most impressive pictures in your Ecuador trip. We will also encounter different types of mammals. Monkeys and birds will also be seen gathering near the lakeshore in search of food. In the end, enjoy the beautiful sunset on the bank.

Today we will go to visit Yasuni National Park. It is the largest national park on the land of Ecuador. Because of its unique biological environment, it was listed as a key global biodiversity conservation area by UNESCO in 1989. Later we will visit the parrots. It is said that there are nearly 11 different kinds of parrots. Do not forget to capture the beautiful parrots.

So far, all the scenic spots packed into this itinerary have been visited. After enjoying the breakfast carefully prepared by the Napo Wildlife Center, the lodge staff will escort you to Coca by motorized canoes. Then our driver will send you to the airport for you to take a flight back to Quito. The flight time is about 40 minutes. After arriving in Quito, our local driver will transfer you to the hotel.
