Angola Coastal Trip

Our representative will meet you at the Luanda airport on your arrival, and then drive you to the hotel. Have a good rest in your hotel. Tomorrow we will set out to see the natural beauty along the coastlines of Angola.

Accommodation: Hotel Continental Luanda (3 stars) or similar

We will leave Luanda early today and drive along the coast road, crossing the Kwanza River and passing the Kissama National Park. We will enter into Kwanza Sul province after crossing the Rio Longa River, and take a break in Porto Amboim, where we will appreciate the spectacular view of Kwanza Sul. Then, we'll take a worthwhile slight detour to visit the beautiful waterfalls at “Cachoeiras do Binga” on the Keve River before heading to Sumbe. These small waterfalls are surrounded by beautiful scenery of the Angolan savannah and woodlands with unique flora and fauna. We may have a picnic lunch at the fall or have it in Sumbe depending on timings. We will arrive at Lobito in the late afternoon.

Lobito, a small city of Benguela, looks like an island in the middle of the sea, and is so beautiful that cruise ships have started stopping there regularly in recent years.

In the morning, we will have a city tour of Lobito and the Rio Catumbela area, visiting the monuments and relaxing on the beach. We will enjoy an ocean boat tour and appreciate different views of the coastal scenery in the afternoon. We will be back to our nice hotel for a beachside dinner.

Benguela is one of the most beautiful provinces in Angola. Located in the central west region, it has a dry tropical climate and borders the Atlantic Ocean. In Benguela, you can visit historic colonial places, magnificent beaches and national parks.

After breakfast, we will take a short tour of Benguela, then drive south to the Chimalavera Park, a small natural park covering an area of 150 km, with a wide variety of lovely birds and very elegant gazelles. We will then move further south to the famous southern beaches of Baia Azul and Cahotinha, where we will have a snack lunch there. We will travel back to Lobito in the afternoon to stroll along the Restinga and appreciate the sunset.
