Japan Rail East Nagano Niigata Area Pass, Booking E-Tickets

Booking Policy

Ticket Price:

Half price for children aged 6-11 years old.
Free of charge for children under 6. But they should share a seat with an adult holding a Japan Rail Pass.

Who Can Use

Foreign tourists with a temporary visitor visa with at most 90-day stay period.

Validity

It is valid for any 5 days out of 14-day period starting the pick-up date of the pass.

It can only be used in Ordinary Class cars. Usage of Green Class or Gran Class cars requires an additional fee.

Reservation

1. The information of your name on the passport and your gender is needed for reservation.

2. Only the E-ticket can be purchased online. Then, you need to change the ticket into an actual Japan East Rail Pass (Nagno, Niigata area) at exchange offices which are located in JR stations after your arrival in Japan.

3. The E-ticket must be changed into JR East Pass (Nagno, Niigata area) within 3 months of booking.

Cancellation Policies

1. The E-ticket has not been activated and used;

2. Within 6 months from the date of buying;

3. A minimum of 15% cancellation fee is charged.

Where to Use

1. Tohoku, Yamagata, Joetsu and Hokuriku Shinkansen

2. JR East Line, Izu Kyuko Line, Hokuetsu Express, Arai-Naoetsu Echigo TOKImeki Railway

3. Local and rapid trains between Shimo-imaichi and Tobu-nikko/ Kinugawa-onsen; limited express trains running along Tobu Railway Lines

4. Tokyo Monorail

5. JR buses in Nagno, Niigata area, excluding route bus and those running along highway
