Day 1: Arrival in Saigon
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel with the company of our guide. The rest of the day is free for you to wander around the city.
Day 2: Saigon
Your Vietnam tour from Ho Chi Minh begins today. At first, you will be guided to Cholon, the largest China Town in the city. There you can have a sight of Chinese-style temples and experience Chinese food. Then move on to the Museum of Traditional Vietnamese Medicine to have a better understanding of the country's medical development. After that, we will drive you to the Ben Thanh Market, the city's biggest indoor market with various antiques and souvenirs. Remember to make a bargain with the seller if you take a fancy to something.
Afterward, our guide will lead you to the War Remnants Museum to have a look at the rare exhibits related to Vietnam War (1955-1975). The former Presidential Palace, also called the Reunification Palace, will be the next destination of our tour from Ho Chi Minh. You can see elegant lacquer paintings and tapestries while wandering around well-decorated halls there.
Then we will visit some important landmarks in Saigon: Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office. As a French-style building, Notre Dame Cathedral, also called Red Cathedral, was built with red bricks. There is a statue of Saint Mary in front of the cathedral, which was given by the Church of Rome in 1945. Central Post Office, built in the late 19th century, displays Vietnam maps of different periods. You can also enjoy luxurious decorations inside and outside of the building.

Day 3: Saigon - Ben Tre - Saigon
In the morning, the guide and the driver will take you to Ben Tre in around 2 hours. Then, we will board a boat and cruise along the Ham Luong River. Besides, you will see different kinds of boats here and locals usually exchange goods onboard. You will visit fruit orchards, coconut groves, brick workshops etc. by the way. In the midway, we will land at a village to explore the authentic Vietnamese rural life from a farmer's house and then hop on the "Xe Loi" or a bicycle to pass through the lanes. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant. Then reach the dock by sampan and get on the boat that heads to Ben Tre. Upon arriving, our driver will take you back to the hotel in Saigon.

Day 4: Saigon - Da Nang - Hoi An
After breakfast, we will drive you to the airport for the flight to Da Nang. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Hoi An Ancient Town, which has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site since 1999. Hoi An, once a major port in Vietnam, boasts lots of traditional buildings of Chinese, Japanese, and French styles. The nightscape there is beautiful with many lanterns lining up along the streets. Today, our guide will accompany you to some famous attractions in Hoi An, including Chua Ong Pagoda, Tan Ky Ancestral House, as well as the landmark - Japanese Covered Bridge.
Day 5: Hoi An - Da Nang - Hue
In the morning, the driver will take you to Hue. We will pass by Hai Van Pass and make a stopover at a fishing village of Lang Co on the way. When you arrive in Hue in 3.5 hours, our guide will escort you to the hotel.
In the afternoon, the guide will lead you to the Imperial City, also called The Citadel. There you can appreciate luxurious royal palaces of Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945). Today's private Hue tour from Saigon will end with the Tomb of Tu Duc. It looks less like an emperor's mausoleum, but an elegant garden with pavilions, bridges and ponds. Emperor Tu Duc lived there for a while before he passed away.
Day 6: Hue - Hanoi
Today we will have a short boat trip along Perfume River to reach the Thien Mu Pagoda on the northern bank of the river. With over 400 years of history, the 7-tier pagoda enshrines a gilded statue of the smiling Buddha. There are also several splendid palaces around the pagoda.
Then, move on to Dong Ba Market to have a taste of local specialties. After visiting the bustling market, we will head for the Tomb of Minh Mang. It is the best-preserved imperial mausoleum in Hue with buildings symmetrically distributed along the axis. After that, the driver will take you to the airport for the flight to Hanoi. Upon arrival, our local guide will transfer you to the hotel and help you check in.
Day 7: Hanoi
Hanoi is the capital and the second largest city in Vietnam. The first attraction for your private Hanoi tour from Ho Chi Minh will be Ba Dinh Square, which has witnessed many historical events of the country. Then our guide will lead you to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House to learn more about Ho Chi Minh, the founder of Communist Party of Vietnam. After that, we will visit One Pillar Pagoda. It was built on a single stone pillar in the center of a lotus pond. Lots of Buddhist devotees would go there to pray for a good luck in front of the statue of the Goddess of Mercy.
Then follow the guide to the Temple of Literature, which was built in 1070 to commemorate Confucius, a great Chinese ideologist. Afterward, we will move on to the West Lake, the biggest lake in Hanoi with an area of over 1, 230 acres. We will also stop by the Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple around the lake. After that, proceed to the Museum of Ethnology or Museum of Vietnamese History.
Today's private tour from Ho Chi Minh will conclude with the Water Puppet Show. It is a unique kind of the local folk art, putting on a water stage. It shows the daily life of Vietnamese, as well as historical events and legends of the country.
Day 8: Hanoi - Halong Bay
Have breakfast in the hotel and then you will be transferred to Halong Bay by a 3.5 hours' drive. A cruise on Ha Long Bay will become the highlight of your Vietnam tour from Ho Chi Minh. Upon arrival, you will board the Signature Cruise to see hills in various shapes and sizes standing in the water. After lunch, we will visit one of the three largest karst caves of Ha Long Bay, namely Thien Cung, Dau Go, and Sung Sot.
For the rest of the day, you can either enjoy the picturesque scenery leisurely or take part in other activities on the ship, such as canoeing, diving, and swimming. Today you will stay overnight onboard.

Day 9: Ha Long Bay - Hanoi - Departure
You can get up early this morning to join the Tai Chi class on the ship. After that, have a morning tea or coffee and then we will take a boat to visit nearby small islands. Branch will be arranged onboard.
